Our 3 Army BRATS!!!

DAY 44-

On this last day of April, and on my Husbands 4th deployment, I would like to talk about our "Army Brats". The month of April was Military Children Appreciation Month. Having a Military child, they don't choose this lifestyle. They are born into it. All three of them were. It has been 2 years since they have all been back to the state they were born, and see some family and friends. Thankfully my parents came to visit us in Maryland, and then here. But, it has been 2 years since they have been able to see Josh's parents. The beginning of June, they will finally be able to see them again, when they take their first plane flight. Since we left Washington 2 years ago, we moved to Maryland and then here. That has to be hard on them moving 3 states, in 2 years. They didn't choose that. They didn't even choose to go to different schools each time, and have to re-make friends at each. But, they are tough, and they do it. And they keep their heads held high. Elizabeth is on her 4th school, because of her ECI programs, and Michael is on his 3rd school. And those will not be the last. Who knows how long they will be able to be at these schools. Josh and I have never had to experience such things as long distance moves. We both had the privilege of staying in one house for a long time. They haven't.

Two years ago when we moved from Washington State to Maryland, we left he house that we owned for four years. It was sad to leave it. We brought Elizabeth and Johnathan home to the house. Michael was almost 2 when we moved in. But, since we are an Army family, and have no clue if/ and when we will move back, and our family grew since we bought the house, we had to sell it.

I am PROUD of all three of our children. I think that because everything that they have gone through, in their little lifetimes, such as moving, and having daddy deployed so many times, that they are STRONG, FRIENDLY, LOVING, children, and I am Very Proud to say I am their Mom!

Today was a crazy day for me. Something as simple as wanting to pay bills online turned crazy. My husband let me know how to do the bills before he left. To bad I messed up on the part, where his dad was born. This was a trick question, not right. Well, it froze the online banking. ACK! That was horrible, I called, they told me they didn't have a power of attorney for me, and that I would have to go fax one to get any information. So, I went and got gas on post, and went to the PX to fax it. First they gave me the wrong number. So, thankfully to my I-Phone, I was able to look the number up and call them back. Fax was complete, they told me to call back in 2 hours to make sure it went through. Then I went and got a kids meal for Johnathan and I to eat lunch. After that it was time to go to pay rent.

When I got home, I called the place. They told me call back in a half an hour. I called back in a half hour, they told me call back in an hour. Then they told me I could get my own online one, and access the bills. I started this, then figured out I have my own account number to, as a spouse and it was under my husbands and wasn't suppose to be. The guy called tech. support, then I got cut off. So, I called back talked to another lady, got my online account set up after several tries because the system wasn't working tonight. Soon, to figure out, I couldn't access online banking from mine. Then I asked if they received the POA yet. She put me on hold for a few minutes, only to come back on and tell me that part was closed until Monday, and I would have to call back. It was a pain, I was mad since I was dealing with it all day. All I wanted to do is pay bills. That's it!

I babysat for the little boy that shares a birthday with Elizabeth today. He will be 2. Maybe that is why those two are so close, because they share a birthday. Well, just a few minutes before she picked him up, Josh called. It has been 5 days since I heard his voice. Then she came, and she was on her cellphone. I told her I was sorry, that I was talking to Josh. She said she was talking to Josh too, just not my Josh. Her deployed husband that is friends with my husband, name is also Josh. Neither of them knew they were calling their wives at the same time, literally. And my husband didn't know I was watching the little one. So, it was funny. We each talked to our husbands. I got to talk for 16 minutes. It was great hearing his voice, but wish I would have got to talk longer, and really enjoy it without someone else in the house, and feeling bad I was on the phone. Hopefully I don't have to wait another 5 days. I cannot wait to hear his voice again, hopefully soon. Until then, goodnight~

Finally, I got my grade for my 2nd class...

DAY 43-

After 3 days, of my grade being passed due, it came in yesterday. Another A-! I'm so proud of myself for achieving two A-. My husband was deployed for half of my classes, and to be able to maintain a grade like that, raise 3 children, while keeping the busy with activities, and cleaning house! To me, it is Amazing!

Yesterday when we went to the FRG, movie meeting, I forgot to add, that when I told Elizabeth that we were going to go to Daddy's work to do something, she got excited and said, "I cannot wait to give daddy a hug and a kiss", it was so sad when I had to explain to her daddy wouldn't be there. It even brings tears to my eyes now.

Today was "Spring Inspection". I don't like inspections, I had to do enough of these when I was a daycare provider. Today they walked the ENTIRE house make sure things worked. We did find a few major things that needed worked. Like the downstairs toilet needs all new replacing, our sprinkler system, electrical wiring for my daughters ceiling fan, and some other stuff. Now they need to make an appointment to come back and fix it all. This inspection took about an hour and a half. I was glad our typical maintenance guy was one of the people, and then another lady. Then when they left I continued to clean, and do laundry. It is hard to get myself in the mood to clean. It has been 6 weeks, but I really miss my husband.

Tonight after the kids arrived home from school, we ate dinner and then Michael had soccer practice for an hour, and the wrestling for an hour. The other two and I just waited in the car today. I didn't feel like waiting out in the cold for soccer, and then Johnathan fell asleep during the wrestling, so I just let him sleep in the car, or else he would have been grumpy.

I think it is time to do the little touch ups of cleaning in the house, and go to bed. It is quiet, and lonely in the house tonight. It's just making me miss my husband even more. I hope these next few months go by fast!

Getting things done!

DAY 42-

First thing this morning after Johnathan getting on the school bus and then taking the other two to school, I marched right into the school. I had to talk to them. I was very uncomfortable about sending Elizabeth to school today after she screamed 3 times last night that she didn't want to go to school, I ended up bringing her in the room with me to sleep. That wasn't the only thing though, her telling me she doesn't like herself is not normal for a 5 year old. Something is wrong, and this something seems to be at school since she doesn't want to go. I thought tonight we got away from hearing, "I don't like myself" because they got out of school at 1:40 today, and she never said it, until bed time, she said "I hate myself"! It is like a stab in the heart all the time to me, hearing this. It hurts so bad, and I just wish I knew why she was saying it.

When I was in the school today, I told the office who I was going to see, and then another lady was at the office who knew the lady. This lady told me that the teacher I was seeing had stepped out for a few minutes. She never told the teacher I was there apparently. I was waiting and waiting and waiting, and finally the principal had seen I was waiting, and about after at least 25 minutes of waiting, he went and got her. She said nobody had told her. I went to this lady, because she was the one that responded to THE NOTE I WROTE FOR THE ELIZABETH'S TEACHER, not her. But since she responded, and Elizabeth's teacher was in class, and I knew it had to be taken care of, I talked to her. I really didn't want to send Elizabeth today with all these behaviors she has had, something, at school is not right. I don't know if it is a student making fun of her, or what it is. Whatever it is needs to be stopped, and changed, immediately. I will let them know tomorrow, that she has change it from not liking herself, to now hating herself. And anything else that happens, they will know. I am not dealing with this anymore. My daughter should feel comfortable about being at school, and not be doing this behavior, at 5 that is.

I guess they talked to Elizabeth and she didn't tell them much, but it will not stop there. The more she does the things she has been, the more we will get to the bottom of it. This mom is not dealing with my daughter being uncomfortable at school, for whatever reason it is. It will be changed, I will make sure of it.

After I left the half hour meeting, I came home and ran my half mile. I improved by a minute because of running a little more. Instead of 9 minutes 27 seconds, it was 8 minutes 29 seconds. So, hopefully it will just continue to get better. Then I came home and took a nap, until Johnathan arrived off the bus. Since the other two had 2 hour early dismissal, they weren't home much longer after them.

I also got a call to make an appointment for my mass by my left ear. I went to see a Doctor last Wednesday to get a referral out to get it taken care of. And here it is today, I had the Doctors office call me, and I made the appt. for next Tuesday. I just want this mass taken care of.

Tonight I made chili for dinner, and added turkey sausage. It was good. We needed to eat something fast because of an FRG meeting tonight. The kids wore their pajamas to watch the Chipmunk movie, the squeakal. They ended up having pizza, I didn't have any, but the kids did. They also had popcorn, pretzels, and pop. When we came home the kids fell asleep in the car. On the way home we got stuck by a never ending train. This seems to be a common thing every other time that I head to Fort. They need to set a limit on how long the train could be.

Now, this day is ending, it will be time to start a new day tomorrow.

Nightmares...

DAY 41-

Well, today I had Bible study after the munchkins went to school. It was great today. I didn't get to go last week because of the "shower" in my basement. I was glad I was able to go today. It was nice talking to the ladies. One lady, who also has her husband deployed gave me the book "Faith Deployed", I belong to this group on Facebook, but never had the book. She did not know that I belonged to the group on Facebook. That made my day. Then I asked for a Prayer for my daughter, and everything she is going through right now.

The rest of the day I cleaned the house, and worked on laundry. Until it was time to make dinner, and then go to Michael's soccer practice. Upon arriving home the kids watched a little t.v, while I vacuumed everywhere, except the basement. Then it was time for them to go to bed.

Tonight while I was watching a movie,"The Blindside" (very good movie) I heard screaming and crying upstairs, I thought it was my youngest. It wasn't. I rushed upstairs, it was my daughter. She was screaming and crying, "I don't want to go to school". frankly, I don't want to send her either. After some other things that have happened this past week, I have some digging to do, and see why these things are going on. If I can't figure them out, tomorrow, then she is going to be home schooled the rest of the year. Something is not right, and I don't feel comfortable taking her to school, when she is not comfortable. These behaviors are just not like her.

So, we will see how it goes, and I will Pray, that everything goes okay, and things start to get better for my daughter.

Our Vacation back to the State we are from. is ONE MONTH away!!!!

Day 40-

Yay, Just one month until the kids get on the airplane and take their first flight, back to the state where they were born. Only for two weeks, and then we come right back here. I cannot wait to see my parents, friends, family, and Josh's parents. We have not seen Josh's parents in 2 years, since we moved from Washington State. So, it is going to be a fun time for us. Hopefully this time until then goes by fast! Only bad thing is, that it means, it's the start of the summer. We are leaving right after summer break begins. Then that means mommy has them for a couple months. Thankfully summer break is starting with our family.

Today after Johnathan got on the bus, and after taking the older two to school, I decided to go on a run. For those of you that know me really well, this is not like me. I do not run, never have, now I am trying. I may have not done well today, not well at all. But, you have to have a starting point, and push yourself from that point. Today I ran a half of a half mile. I know, not much, but it is a start. And each day I will push myself more. Between walking, and running, it took me 9 minutes 27 seconds to get home from that half of mile. I am out of shape. Each day I will continue to push myself harder. After my run, I came home and took a nap. I always here from people how they have so much more energy after working out. Not me, I was exhausted, and a little bored. It gets a little lonely with out anybody here for 3 hours. Yes it is a nice break, and I have lot's to do, but yes it is lonely. Then it was time for Johnathan to get off the bus, and have lunch.

When the older two got home from school it was time to make dinner, about a half hour after they arrived home. Tonight I made Nachos. The kind my hubby taught me to make. You cook the meat, add the seasoning. Well, I thought we had the seasoning, we always have tacos, and always usually have seasoning on hand. Guess I should have looked before. I cooked the meat, then realized, no seasoning. Just great. My back up plan was a fajita packet we had, it was for chicken, and to be cooked on the BBQ. I made it work though. After cooking the meat, I put the chips on the pan, added meat on top, then shredded cheese, and put them in the oven for about 7 minutes. The kids loved them.

Then it was time to hurry up and eat. During this time I was washing Michael's uniform. I know last minute, oh well. It was finally dry for him to put on, and time to head out the door for his 5:30 game. We were running late, so I would have to let him run up to the field by himself when we got there. As I was driving, and we were almost there, I looked at the clock, thought for a second, and realized his game was at 6:30 p.m. We were not a few minutes late, we were an hour early! I guess I just got use to 5:30 p.m practice. So, the kids played on the playground for an hour. They have been bugging me to do this every time Michael has had a game.

Then Michael's game started. The other team seemed like they had enough players to make 2 teams, they were able to switch their players off and on several times. Our poor boys and girls just had enough players, and our player had to play the entire game with out any back up. Pretty funny, we were playing a team from our own school. And then they won. Our boys and girls did good though, not being able to have that break. Poor kids were tired, and should sleep well tonight.

When we arrived home it was bath time, Prayer time, and then bedtime. Now, I am waiting for the phone call from my hubby. He left me a message on Facebook this morning saying he would call. It has been 5 days since I last heard his voice. I cannot wait!

I use to like the sound of lawn mowers, but not anymore...

DAY 39-

Sometimes it is nice when your going to Church by yourself, because of having to drop of the children and then finding a seat for yourself, instead of having to look for more then one seat in a crowded Church. Service was great today. After service I talked to the Pastor about being Baptized when Josh is on his leave. I really want Josh to be here when I'm Baptized. My parents always left it up to me to get Baptized. But getting married at 18, having my first child at 19, and then living the Army life, I never knew when I should. The time is now, well, in a few months, but it will be here. And I cannot wait for my husband, and kids to share the moment with me.

Michael being the 8 year old he is, was listening to the conversation I was having with my mom about being Baptized. He thought it was today, and he thought he missed it. He wasn't to happy about that one. Until mommy explained it wasn't today, and that he is not suppose to listen to an adults conversation. So, I know that he would want to see my Baptized. Oh, thinking about this makes me excited. Not only that I officially accept, because I have always, and this just makes it official. But, it means Josh will be home for his "vacation home".

After Church we didn't do a whole lot when arriving home. The kids cleaned up the backyard some, thanks to the dog. I did some laundry. Today all day long you could here people mowing their lawns. I use to like the sound of lawn mowers, knowing it was spring/ or summer time. And when we were in Maryland, knowing that the lawn guys were on Fort, mowing everybody's grass. Or, when we owned our own house, meant some hot guy, a.k.a, my husband was behind the mower. And when we were in the house, if the hot guy wasn't around, such as his 3 prior deployments, my dad would come over and help me out. Umm, now I am now on my own. A little nervous about that. So, one day this week, when it is nice out (not sure if that is going to happen), when everybody else is at work, I will go and attempt to mow the lawn. Ha, this is going to be funny. That is why I'm mowing the grass when nobody is home. Can't say I ever mowed a lawn before. Oh, well, I will get it figured out, and report back to you on it, in a few days.

I made curry for dinner tonight. Mmmm, it is so good. At least 3 out of 4 of us had seconds. Johnathan ate most of his first, but didn't have seconds. We haven't had curry since, awhile before Josh left. We will definitely have it again.

Now, I am waiting, and waiting, and waiting for my final grade to come in one of my classes. They have 43 minutes to make their deadline. My classes finished one week ago, and they have one week, until midnight to get the grade in. I am getting frustrated. Does the teacher really have to wait until the last minute? I receive my other grade last Monday. The day after the class ended. So now it's tick tock, tick tock, waiting and waiting, and refreshing the page over and over again. Maybe I should just give up, and call in the morning if it doesn't show up. Oh, calls, those are always nice, hopefully soon, I will receive one of those from my handsome hubby. Goodnight everyone!!!

We COMPLETED the 5 mile, March of Dimes Walk.....

DAY 38-

The kids and I woke up early this morning, at 6:15 a.m to get get ready, eat and head out to walk the March of Dimes. We were actually a few minutes late to the 7:30 a.m meet up with others, but the walk didn't start until 9. So, we were still good.

We stood waiting around until 9. Thankfully a nice lady in our group had brought donuts for us, so even though the kids had two bowls of cereal, before we left the house, they also ate a donut. I had one also. We could have had a bagel, orange and coffee, but I chose the doughnut.

Then 9 a.m came around, and wait, everyone else was starting, but we weren't. Why you ask? Because we had to wait for a team member to come, she was lost. After waiting a few minutes for this person, some of us went ahead and started, while everybody else was quite a ways ahead. After walking a ways, and getting to the point of, are we going to walk to short 2 miles, or the entire 5 miles. We stopped and waited a few minutes for the others. If we wanted to go the short route we could have went over the bridge, but we decided to take the entire 5 miles. Which was 2.5 miles down, and the same back. I was a little nervous about this, I was thinking I wanted to take the short route, but wanted to stay with the group. Not only was I worried about the long way being to long for the kids, and how they would handle it, I was worried about my self. I know how out of shape I am. Well, the kids did AMAZING, and I guess I am not in as bad of shape as I thought I was. We completed the entire 5 mile walk in about 2 hours. That is with 3 kids, pushing the youngest in the stroller, and our 5, and 8 year old walking. Elizabeth would also slow down sometimes, so we would have to wait for her. But besides that, they did great. And so far the kids and I don't have feet, legs, etc. that hurt. So, we are doing great. I was so proud of us, and our team. We raised $115 dollars thanks to my mom and dad, my sister Debbie, my Aunt Karen, Joan, and Alane Pearce. I really appreciate everyone for Sponsoring us. As a team we raise $1,060.

After we Completed the Walk, Chick-fil-a was handing out free chicken sandwiches, with chips, and a pop, or you could have a piece of pizza. So, everybody sat down to eat lunch.

Once we finished I wanted to take Michael to his soccer game, by this time it was 11:30 a.m. I didn't expect him to play the game, but at least be there to support his team. He had already missed a game when I was sick about 3 weeks ago. Well, first thing when we got there, and after he went to the bathroom, he went in and actually played. I was so Proud of him. I really thought he would be to tired to play. We were a few minutes late to the game because we had to stop by the house and get his soccer socks, but he still played about 45 minutes, after just walking 5 miles. Again, I was so Proud of him. It was windy to, during the walk and the game. But, it didn't rain, so I could handle it.

When we arrived home, we didn't do much here, but relax. I did clean the kitchen, watch t.v, and make dinner. Anymore when I watch t.v, I think it is a little boring. I always feel so lazy when I'm done watching it.

Well, I think this is it for now. I just want to end it saying how PROUD I am, of all 4 of us, and our group for completing the 5 miles, for March of Dimes, GO US!!!

My first Award, and March of Dimes early in the morning ...

DAY 37-

Thank You, A Lady In Waiting for My first award, it is greatly appreciated.

The rules for this award are: List ten things that I love, and Pass it on to ten other bloggers!

1. I LOVE my husband Josh for the wonderful man that he is, and how he is an awesome husband, and amazing father to our three children. We cannot wait to see him again.

2. (in just age order) I LOVE my son Michael, my oldest, he is a very independent boy, and reminds mommy of that every day. But, I still love him dearly.

3. I LOVE my daughter Elizabeth, born second, and in the middle of two boys, she is a very loving girl who always tells mommy she loves her, and gives me hugs and kisses. And talks about daddy all the time.

4. I LOVE my youngest son Johnathan, he is my one that likes to cuddle, but yet likes to sneak into food.

5. I LOVE my parents for always being there for me, whenever I need someone to talk to, even though they are now several states away.

6. I LOVE my dog Luke between the hours of 8:30 a.m-11:50 a.m, and from 8 p.m until I go to bed. That is when he is a good dog, nice and quiet and an extra ear for anything going on in the house. Any other time, when he is around the kids he is hyper and crazy.

7. I LOVE SUMMER, because I love being nice and warm.

8. I LOVE my house, even though we are renting it. A perfect house for our family. With my husbands own "man cave" downstairs where he can escape to go play his video games, work out, or be in the office, when he is home.(now it is just a ghost town) It is just a nice house for us.

9. I LOVE my SUV, it is a wonderful vehicle for our family. It can fit our family of 5, plus 3 other people.

And Finally,

10. hmm, let's see, I LOVE the Hawaiian type flowers, cannot think of the names, but they are very pretty. I have been to Hawaii 3 times.

Okay, today I got Johnathan registered for PreSchool for August. I just filled out the packet 2 months ago, and had to sign all of those papers again. After that we headed up to our team meeting for March of Dimes. Bad thing was, I got there, realized nobody was around, and then looked at Facebook and realized the meeting had been cancelled. The message was sent out just a couple minutes after I had looked at my Facebook when leaving his school. Oh well, at least I got to see where the walk is. Not knowing I already knew, because I have been there before. I just didn't know the name of the park. And, now I know, there isn't going to be much parking.

So, everyone, Tonight is your last night to Sponsor the kids and I for the March Of Dimes. We will be walking it in the morning. Not only does your money help little babies, but also teaches our children how to raise money for others. Even a dollar will help.

I wrote that note to the teacher from the IEP meeting yesterday (look in Day 36 Blog for more information). Well, I recieved a call from one of the ladies that was at the IEP meeting. The teacher had shared the note with her. I did write the teachers name on it, not the teacher and the 5 other people that were at the IEP meetings. I didn't answer the phone though, because I didn't recognize the number. She left a message. I just thought, oh, I will read the note the TEACHER sends, not some other random lady. Well, I waited, and waited for Elizabeth to get home to read that note. Automatically took her back pack when she got home from school, opened her back pack and searched for the note, and it wasn't there. The teacher never wrote me back. I was disapointed. I would much rather deal with the teacher then a random lady.

Tonight the kids had their weekly Friday night Pizza, pajamas and a movie. They watched a Scooby Doo Movie. Then went to bed. They really enjoy it, because they have something to look forward to every Friday night. By Wednesday, Michael is always thinking that night is Friday night, and every Wednesday asking me if it is movie night. I think it's bed time now, We have to wake up early for March Of Dimes in the Morning. I really hope that the weather stays decent at least.

Missing my husband like always, counting down the days, and cannot wait to have him in my arms again.

As a mom, it just hurts to hear that...

DAY 36-

Johnathan was so excited to get on the bus today, he was running down the driveway while holding mommy's hand and dragging me behind him. Completely opposite of yesterday when the was throwing temper tantrums. Yesterday it was because I fed him, but he didn't like the cereal that he was given, and so refused to eat it. Today not only did he eat his breakfast, but he knew once he got to school, he was going to take another short bus ride to another preschool, because the zoo was going to bring some animals for the kids to see. That made mommy happy when he was happy to get on the bus.

Then I ran inside, and left to take the other two to school. After dropping them off I came home to get ready to go to the commissary. I needed a few groceries for the next few days, until pay day that is. After grocery shopping, I also met up with our Team Captain to turn in a check that I had, and the paper saying how much I raised online. Don't worry, you still have a day to donate online. Any money, even a dollar will help go towards helping babies, and showing my children what it is like to raise money for others.

When I came home I put the groceries away just in time, then it was time for Johnathan to come home from school. Later on we had an IEP meeting at Elizabeth's school. (Individual Education Plan). I really don't like those meetings. I don't like being in a meeting with 5 other people, letting me know, really how much my daughter has not improved. Even after 2 years of pre school, and a year of kindergarten. She is developmentally delayed. Each time I go to an IEP meeting, I just want to cry. I just hurt so much not knowing why she is learning this stuff, she has been tested before. Were always told at what age she knows stuff at, and not what is wrong. Today's meeting was worse then any other. It hurt me to hear that my daughter doesn't have any friends, and that the kids "accept her." Aww, this is just making me cry right now. I send my daughter to school, not only to get an education, but to make little friends. Accepting my daughter, is not acceptable to me. There is no reason my daughter shouldn't have any friends. Just because she has a learning disabilities doesn't mean she can't have friends. She is the friendliest little girl, and I always here that from everybody. And whenever she sees kids she say, "that's my friends, or hey friends". geesh, now I'm crying. This just hurts me to hear this. Last week on when I went on the zoo field trip, one little girl said, "Elizabeth and her little brother are scary." That was not acceptable to me either, I automatically corrected her and let her know that wasn't a nice thing to say. I am writing a note to the teacher tomorrow about how I feel. Also, apparently they don't have teachers aids, or anyone to help her directly in her classroom with her work. Something she needs, not just being pulled out of the classroom for help. I am going to see if they will allow me to come in Monday-Thursday for 3 hours when my youngest is in school to help her. If they don't allow me, I will fight it. If they won't get her the help she needs in the classroom, then as her mother, I will go in her class and assist her with the work that the teacher has given her. Or, how else is she going to learn? The teacher has way to many students in the class to give her the help she needs.

The meeting was for an hour, not knowing it was for an hour, I sent the kids home on the bus. I got out of the meeting about 7 minutes prior to the bus dropping the kids off. Realizing that I still needed to put Johnathan in the car, and then drive home, I knew I wouldn't make it home on time. I didn't want my kids waiting on the front porch. Thankfully, I had my next door neighbors number and so I called her, she went to the bus stop to get the children, and let them hang out at her house for a few minutes. Thankfully she was home to do that, I appreciated it. The kids were already eating cheez-its when I arrived.

Later on tonight we went to Micheal's soccer practice. The younger two and I just usually wait in the car. Today my daughter broke my heart, she said, "I don't like myself, God doesn't like me," I don't know where she is getting this stuff. It breaks a moms heart to hear this. I told her I love her, daddy loves her, and God loves her, and she is a beautiful girl.

I know I was lucky and got to talk to my husband two days in a row, which is highly unusual, but I just really want to be able to talk to him. Today was a tough day with all of this. I just want to hear his voice, and be able to talk these things over with him.

I wish laundry would just wash itself...

DAY 35-

Today, when Michael was making his and his sister's lunch, because he sometimes wants to do this, he threw away 8 slices of bread. Enough for 4 sandwiches, I was so frustrated. Apparently my youngest had snuck into it, and pinched a small piece on each. Not enough to throw them away and waste food.

After taking the kids to school and then coming home to put my make up on. I had a waste of time Doctors appointment. I had to go in to be referred to ENT (Ear, noise, throat). I was in and out in 10 minutes, after arranging for my son to be picked up at the bus stop, which happens to be in front of our house. But, I arrived home and hour earlier then I thought I would, and canceled my friend picking him up.

Well, the appointment was for a mass by my left ear, that has been there for 9 years now. I was getting treatment before we moved a few months ago. But was dragging my feet to making this appointment to get referred. Now I have to sit and wait for them, meaning the ENT to call me to set up an appointment. I really just want this mass to be gone, and not have to worry about it anymore. I am not looking forward to these upcoming appointments that I will have to do though.

When I arrived home, and the rest of the day, I worked on the laundry that I have been putting off. It is hard to keep up on laundry when your trying to stay busy all the time. I was trying to keep the kids busy in order not to think about daddy being gone. It seemed like my day was filled with putting the laundry in the wash, then in the dryer, taking it to the couch to fold it, and then carrying it up the stairs to put away. Which this rotation let's just say, happened quite a few times. One thing though, I probably got a good work out in my legs today, going up and down the stairs. I just wish the laundry would have washed itself. That would have helped me tons, and I could have done something that was fun today. But, nope, laundry it was.

To make my laundry matters even worse, I always have my oldest son bring down laundry from each room. I remind him to get all of it. Well, while cleaning his messy room, I found laundry shoved everywhere. Under his bed, in his closet, etc. So, after almost accomplishing all of my laundry today, I now have a full basket, thanks to my lovely son.

I made pork chops for dinner tonight. I never do, so I didn't have a recipe. I cooked them on the stove and added some Johnny's Seasoning (from Washington State, it's the best stuff ever), and they turned out great. I was proud of myself, then we had mixed vegetables, and potatoes o'brien. We had the potatoes o'brien last night and they just tasted so good, that I decided on that again. Now were out.

Tonight we had another surprise call from Josh again, for 18 minutes. Yesterday I let him know that the kids really want to hear daddy's voice. It has been a couple weeks since they last talked to him. Sad thing was, he was calling for them, and they were sleeping. It was 10 p.m, and they had been in bed for 2 hours. But, it was early morning for him. I still woke them up though. The boys were half out of it, and sad they probably won't remember in the morning. They sleep like daddy. Elizabeth on the other hand, had a little bit of conversation, because she sleeps like mommy. She will probably be talking about daddy all day tomorrow. We realized it would be hard for him to call here, with out it being a weird time where he is, because of the opposite hours, and the kids in school, or sleeping when he would call. Unless it was on weekends.

They love their daddy so much, and it just stinks being away from him. September couldn't get here fast enough, so I hope this time, at least until September speeds up.

PROOF, Everything ALWAYS goes wrong when your Soldier is Deployed, and here is mine.....

DAY 34-

Today my day definitely didn't start off well. I always set my alarm for one hour before I have to get up and get the kids. So, today, it was set for 6 a.m. My plans were to crawl back in bed, that way when 7 a.m came around, I was not in such a deep sleep, and it would be easier for me to get up.

Wow, my plans changed fast. I got up to turn off my alarm, it is on my cellphone which was plugged in the master bathroom. I decided I needed to use the restroom, so when I went to wash my hands the hot water was not working. I was like "okay, I will just call this in later when the office opens, and deal with it then, nothing that can be done about it at 6 a.m." So, I went and crawled back into my bed, I was very tired. But, I heard running water. I thought, maybe the kids bathroom toilet is running???? (We have 3 and a half bathrooms, 2 full bathrooms upstairs, a half bath on our lower level, and full bath in the basement). After checking, I realized it was not that. In my half sleepy state, I crawled back in bed. I thought I was imagining things since it was so early. But, the noise would not go away.

So, I decided to crawl out of bed for a third time. I wasn't very happy about this. I started going downstairs, the noise got louder. I checked our half bathroom. Nope, it wasn't that. So I opened the locked basement door, and as I got closer, and closer it sounded like a Water Fall was in my basement. About now I started to freak. I opened the utility room, where our hot water heater, and furnace are. That is where the problem was.

Water was shooting down, somewhere between the amount of running water for a bath tub, and a shower spraying EVERYWHERE in the room from the ceiling.. I was taking a shower as I was trying to figure out where the water shut off was. It was so stinkin' bad, and that is not exaggerating. I ran upstairs to check the garage to see if the water turn off was there. Then I called my parents. They are a few states away, and of course could not help me, but I figured they could help give me ideas where to look.

Today was a reminder, that I don't really have anyone here when problems like this arise. Typically, I would call my parents, and my dad would come over. Not anymore. So, I called my neighbor, 2 times, she didn't answer the phone. (she was sleeping and did call back later shortly after everything was taken care of). I ran across the street to the peoples house, that they use to live here. I figured they might know. They didn't answer their door. I came home called my parents again, took another tour of my house. Decided that I was going to try and call the non-emergency number for the fire department. I know, but I was desperate. I had no one else to call, and a waterfall downstairs. Until I realized, I had one last number (only 2) of people that actually live in our State. Thankfully I called her, she called her dad, called me back and told me to just start turning stuff. That made me a little nervous not knowing what else would happen. But, I did, and it turned most of the way off. Oh, yeah I forgot, that during this time, I got on Facebook, hoping that someone from the area would be on my friends list. But nobody was.

So, it was finally most of the way turned off. I have no clue how long it was going off before I woke up at 6 a.m. Thankfully there was a drain, and most of the water went down that. Some did end up on the basement bathroom floor, and in the office closet. I had to pull our plastic containers out of the closet, for the floor to dry. I didn't do that until tonight though.

After all of this I had to wait until 9 a.m for the office to open. I didn't have an emergency number, but I do now, from their answering machine when I called. Nobody answer either the main number, or the emergency number. I'm afraid how much my next water bill is going to be.

So, I went to Johnathan's Conference that was today. And on the way to the classroom got a call from the people we are renting from. We then set up a time to meet. Then I went into Johnathan's conference in which I found out, just in a couple weeks he is doing great. He is saying more from them, and starting to trace letters instead of the hand over hand practice. I was amazed when the showed me the work my baby did. It may not have been perfect, and all the way on the line, but I could tell it was a K. Then it was time to go home and wait for the pipe downstairs to be fixed.

While waiting, my husband called. I knew this morning that he was going to call me today when he left me a message of facebook. That is also what helped me to get through the situation this morning, knowing I would soon here my hubby's voice after 5 days. I don't know how long we were able to talk, he called my cellphone, and it cut off after awhile. Then he called back on the house phone for a couple minutes to say his goodbyes.

Then our repair man came. Checked out the problem, and had to run to the Home Depot to get a part. I guess after 10 years of doing repairs to different things, he had never seen a part like this. He ended up telling me it was rusty and old, and that is why it decided to split apart in the middle of the morning (or really who knows how long it was like that). So, it was fixed and taken care of.

Then tonight, we had Michael's soccer practice. His practice was cut 20 minutes early because of a storm, that never happened. But that is okay, they have practice again in a couple of days.

So, today was a bad day, because of the inside waterfall, but I made it through that situation, and had a better day when I got to hear my husbands voice. Today was one of those days I needed my husband since I had not clue where the water shut off was. And it made me miss him, but at least I did get to hear his voice.

My first set of Grades for one of my two online classes are back...

DAY 33-

Today started out a little rough. It has been 5 days since my husband last called me. I really didn't want to get out of bed today. I did my best to sleep in. If I had my choice, I would have slept the day away today, or at least slept until I heard my husbands voice again. Problem was, I couldn't sleep with screaming children coming out of their rooms, and slamming their doors, and a dog whining to go outside and getting his nasty dog breath in my face. So, I finally woke up, got Johnathan dressed, told the other two to get dressed, and then finally got myself dressed.

Thankfully we had our Mexican food leftovers today. Just as good the second time, as the first. Something that was easy, and I didn't have to worry about fixing. I really didn't want to go anywhere today, it was just a day I really preferred to stay around the house. While eating my lunch I watched the "Maury" show. Something that I don't remember the last time I watched it was. I guess I just felt like the drama, just one of those days. Then the rest of the day I worked on laundry, getting it washed and put away. And also cleaning the kitchen, and some of the house.

During the time that I was cleaning, I decided to get online and see if any of my grades were back, since I just ended the two classes yesterday. One of them happened to be. I got a 91.02%, which is an A-, I can deal with that. Just getting my grade made my day a little better. That was something I did on my own. And the entire time that I took that class, it hasn't been easy. I started the class, just two months after moving here, it was a 9 week class. Shortly after starting the class, with in a week, I found out my husband was deploying, 2 months from then. So, then while my husband was home, my time and energy was trying to balance my online class, with trying to spend as much time with my husband while he was home. Then half way though my class, my husband deployed. Instead of giving up, I had to balance raising the three children by myself, doing house work, cooking, and finding fun stuff to do with the kids to keep them busy. So, yes, I am very proud of myself, and that did make my day. Doesn't mean I'm still not waiting and wondering when my husband will call me????????

Later on in the day, I realized that I had to go to Walmart, even though I didn't want to leave the house. We needed Diapers, training pants, dog food, and laundry detergent. So, I had no choice to but to go. When we arrived home, I realized it was 6 p.m, and decided that I did not feel like making dinner tonight, and so we had cereal. I ended up putting the kids to bed at 7:30 p.m. Dancing with the Stars has started at 7, and I started to DVR it, but wanted to watch the rest.

Now, here again, which seems to be a common thing this deployment, I'm waiting, wondering, hoping, and Praying that I receive a phone call soon. I really would appreciate hearing my husbands voice after 5 days....

Today marks One Month with out my husband here..

DAY 32-

I know it's weird my count down says 32 days, which it is, but today is actually the ONE MONTH mark of my husband being deployed. He left on the 18th of last month. It stinks, I have not talked to him in 4 days!!! This 4 days of not calling me is just driving me crazy, seems to be a typical thing this deployment.

On this One Month mark the kids and I started our day off by going to Church at 11 this morning. I don't like getting up any earlier for the early services. It was a great service today. Of course, I sat alone. This is they typical thing for me anyways, whether my husband is home or not. 75% of the time when he is home, he has an excuse not to go to church. So, I typically take the kids by myself, and sit alone. I am doing this for me, and my children.

Johnathan threw his first temper tantrum going into his room. I think it was because when we dropped off Elizabeth at her room, Johnathan's assistant on his bus, that helps the driver, was in her room, serving today. So, I think that he wanted to stay in that room. He laid down in the middle of the hallway, and in my dress, I had to pick him up and carry him to his room. Then I sent Michael to his room, and went to service.

After Church we ran to the PX, they are my bank. We don't have a local bank around here, nor do I want one. So, I go there and cash any check that I get. I thought it was cute at least, when I was holding Elizabeth's hand, and then my boys were right behind me holding hands. To cute! My little one didn't want to hold mommy hand and even bit my hand, I couldn't believe it. We then left the PX and ran to the commissary just to pick up bread and milk. Then we headed home for a little while.

At around 5 p.m, we headed to dinner. Tonight we were having Mexican food, we had been planning this for a couple of weeks in order to Celebrate a Milestone of Josh being gone a month, and we are a month closer to seeing him. I hope this next 5 months goes by fast until he is "on his 2 week vacation home", a.k.a R and R. Oh, yeah, and a bonus, that I am very happy about, It was also to celebrate me finishing my first 2 online classes. Yay! 9 weeks done!!! Now onto starting more classes.

After getting home from our Mexican dinner, which we were only gone an hour from the time we left the house, until the time we pulled up in the driveway. It is only a few minutes from our house, and they didn't start to get busy until after we left. In fact, as we were finishing our meal a table for 15 adults and 3 children was set up next to us, and people for that party were starting to come in. So, it didn't waste much of our time today after all. But we still had fun, and we love our Mexican food.

The kids then watched some t.v, then had their baths and went to bed. Then mommy finished her last test on the computer for my first 2 classes. I think I will now go watch Army Wives from my DVR, and hope that my husband calls me soon, it has been 4 days. He just doesn't understand how hard for me that is on this end, he always says it has only been 4 days. But, when your lonely, and have no friends around and hang out with 3 children, it seems like it is forever.

Starting the day with soccer, continuing it with Mr. Biggs, and finsished with the kids in bed by 7:30 p.m

DAY 31-

First thing this morning we had to get up and be ready for a 10:00 a.m Soccer game. It was cold today, but not nearly as cold and windy as it was Michael's first game. Today we could handle it. Michael got to be goalie, something he really, really wanted to do. It was something that after every practice he would tell me, "Mom, I want to be goalie, but coach said, not until next year." Apparently he got his next game, and next year mixed up. I was surprised after Thursdays practice and he got so excited and told me, "Mom, I get to be goalie on Saturday." So, the first half of the game he was goalie, and did a great job. He caught most of the balls, but a couple did sneak past him. The main thing though, he is a kid, and he really enjoyed himself. After the game, he got his snack. My dear daughter snuck over and took some of the snack from them, and I didn't realize this until we got to the car. She is about the same size as most of the players that are 1st and 2nd grade, and she is only in kindergarten, thanks to her daddy being tall. So, the parents not knowing any better, gave her a snack also.

After the game we came home to warm up, have Michael change, and of course, mommy had to check her facebook. I ate some cereal also. I was taking the kids to Mr. Biggs, it was free for them, and they supplied lunch for them also, but not the adults, and I didn't want to pay. This was free thanks to our Pediatric Dentist that we just started seeing a couple weeks ago. So, it was free for their patients, my 3 kids. They had lots of fun, first they ate, or attempted to eat 2 free pieces of pizza, and a salad. Yes, mommy did steal a bite here and there, what could I do when my kids would say here mommy. I didn't want to hurt their feelings.

After they ate they had a game card with 10 credits on it, which seemed to be 3 games. Johnathan of course being his fathers son, went right to the race car one, don't forget he is only 3. And he used all of his credits on this one. He couldn't of course reach the pedal, so at first I was sitting on the ground pushing it with my hand as he did the steering wheel, but then soon realizing this was going to be his game, I decided to make him move over and I sat beside him using my foot as he was steering. Of course being only 3, he crashed a lot, but probably did a better job then mommy. This was his first time playing a game like this. The other two picked their 3 games, and then we moved on to the bounce houses. I let them play in those for a few minutes to burn some energy, then it was on to Little Biggs town. This area was so stinkin' cute. They had little rooms divided, in then in each on they had areas so the kids could use their imaginations and play. The rooms were, a kitchen area, an area with a pretend 50's car (of course not real) where the kids pretended to work on it and change the tires, this was of course the boys favorite, and I got pictures of them working on the car. Then there was a toy room, veterinarian, game room, beauty shop, dress up room, doctors room, music room, climbing area, a pretend ship that the kids used air cannons to shoot soft balls from the ship and the pretend castles on the sides. That was mommy's least favorite area, it was kind of scary to me getting hit by the balls from all the little kids. The area they spent a lot of time, and until we left was a sand area that was in a cave type thing. The kid really enjoyed themselves, and had lots of fun. We were there from 12 p.m-3 p.m, and that was enough time for me. The areas we did not go to were, a bowling alley, lazer tag, indoor go carts, bumper hockey, and the carousel that was broken. I had a hard time getting Elizabeth to leave, and had to carry her part way, but then finally were able to get out of there.

After getting to the car, and leaving I soon realized I didn't have my phone on me. I had to find a place to pull over. Thankfully, some how it fell out into the back seat when I buckled Johnathan in, or I sat it down. We were then on the road again. It was raining the entire trip home.

When arriving home we needed to practice our "training walk". We were only able to walk 1 mile today, and not 2 miles. It was raining so hard, our clothes were completely soaked when we got home, and we automatically change into our pajamas. I decided to try and walk in the rain, knowing that no matter the weather for March of Dimes, there is going to be a walk. But, it just didn't go so well, so we came home.

We had peanut butter and jelly for dinner, with chips and juice. I know, not the best dinner, but I was so tired by the end of the day, I didn't feel like making dinner. This is when it is great that I have an 8 year old that occasionally likes to help out, so he made our dinner.

After dinner, I finally re-watched Army Wives, and the True Life show, having twins. Then it was time for the kids to go to bed. Tonight they actually were in bed at 7:30, after we Prayed for Josh's safety. It was still daylight, and my daughter kept on telling me, "it is not bed time yet." I let her know it was.

We have made it through another day with out my husband. Keeping busy, helps our days go by a lot faster.

Giraffes, Bears, and Monkeys, Oh My!!!

DAY 30-

Today Josh has been gone 30 days, but not yet officially a month. I know it is kind of confusing. On Sunday, he will officially be gone a month.

I got up this morning, got Elizabeth her lunch for her field trip, and also mine and Johnathan's. Then I put the stroller in the back of the SUV, and took the two kids to school. First I dropped them off to get to their classrooms, and then I went to park the car. Then Johnathan and I went into Elizabeth's class, after checking into the front office of course. I wanted to wait with the class until the kindergartners loaded the bus. When they started loading the bus, Johnathan and I went back to the car to wait.

When the buses left, there were 2 buses, and 7 cars following. I was holding up the pack, the last car in line, making sure everybody kept up with the pack. Hey, it just worked out that way, but I can pretend right?

The only way I was able to go to the zoo on Elizabeth's field trip is because Johnathan and I were able to use the group discount of $5.00 a piece. We then got to spend the day with Elizabeth, her four friends, and her teacher. It was a great day, and a great work out walking on all the hills. Johnathan enjoyed seeing all of the animals. He is finally at the age where he understands about animals. I took some pictures with my I-Phone because, I had my camera, but the batteries were dead. The kids got to feed the giraffes crackers, and the bird birds seed on a stick. Then at another part of the zoo, a parrot would talk every time you would look away. He would make you think you were going crazy. We were at the zoo from 10 a.m-1:30 p.m.

When we left, I wanted to follow the bus back, but by the time I got Johnathan and our stuff loaded in the car, they disappeared. I was like great, good thing I have my GPS, because I Had no clue of how to get home. So, after driving for a few minutes, I finally caught back up to them on the main road, and followed them from there.

When the kids arrived home from school, we continued "our training". Today we walked a mile and a half in 33 minutes. That was with 3 water breaks, and stopping a few times to make sure my daughter was with me. I was proud of the kids though. They are not use to walking that much, but, they didn't complain. We are "training" for the March of Dimes, next Saturday. Every time we practice I let them know that we are raising money for babies that are sick, or are in the hospital for other reasons. If you want to help the babies that March of Dimes supports, and help me teach our kids a lesson of helping others, and raising money for babies that need care, please donate to the March of Dimes, the tab is at the top right of this post. The money is for a great cause and the babies really need your help. It will further help my three children understand the reasons of why we are doing this to help others.

While we were walking I did also let the kids know, the sooner we get home, the sooner we can go get pizza for dinner. Well, we didn't end up getting pizza because we were looking for Little Caesars, specifically for their $5.00 pizzas that Elizabeth's teacher was telling me about. But, the GPS, took us on a wild goose chase and couldn't find the one it had on the GPS. So, we ended up at Burger King, and I spent more money then I wanted to. Because by this time, I was starving, and just needed to eat.

When we got home the kids put on their mis-matched pajamas, that is what Michael decided it would be tonight. Then they watched Wall E, and ate Burger King. I don't know what it is about that couch anymore, but it puts me to sleep every time I sit on it, since I rarely sit on the couch, except to fold laundry. I ended up taking a nap during the movie, on the couch, with the kids right beside me. Then it was bath time and bed time for them.

Not for mommy though, I had to work on my online classes. I have two I'm taking, and Sunday is my last day of these classes, it has been 9 weeks. Then I start two more on Monday.

Today was a great, fun, busy day. It helps to have these great days, making the days go by faster so we are another day closer to seeing my husband.

Congratulations Kids, You walked your first Mile....

DAY 29-

Last night my husband made my night and called me. His voice can always make a not such of a great day, turn into an awesome day. Especially since it seems to be turning into every 4 days he calls. We got to talk for 33 minutes, I think that is a record for us out of all the 3 previous deployments also. He said he doesn't like to call as often because it is same stuff, different day going on, which makes him not have much to talk about. I just love hearing his voice though, and knowing he is safe. Yes, no news is good news, but hearing his voice is so much better then that. Now, I have another 3 days (since it was a day ago he called) to hear his voice again.

After Johnathan leaving on the bus, and then taking the kids to school I came home got on Face Book of course, and then cleaned house. When he came home from school Johnathan ran out to Chick-fil-A, about 20 minutes away from our house. The Wings For Women Military Conference, in which I am going to in the middle of May, was hosting a fundraiser at all the Chick-fil-A's here. Since I am going, and the lady that is in charge of it sponsored me for March Of Dimes, I wanted to support the fundraiser. Johnathan fell asleep on the way there, and all they way back. He typically does not take naps unless we are in the car. Then when we arrived home we ate, and mommy took a half hour nap while he was watching t.v.

When I woke up it was time to get the kids. I decided that since we walked a half of mile yesterday, we would add another half mile today to make it 1 mile. We are practicing for a March of Dimes, in 8 days. Don't worry, you still have 8 days to sponsor me, and all the money goes to babies that are pre-mature, or have other health issues that need to be taken care of. It is a great cause.

So, right after they got off the bus, we decided to take our walk. It took us 22 minutes to walk one mile. But that was with a 6 and 8 year old walking with me, and pushing Johnathan in the stroller. The kids did a good job. Besides Michael complaining after the first half mile of his lungs hurting, and then Elizabeth falling behind for checking things out, then would run to catch up. She didn't even seem tire the entire time. She definitely has her daddy's athletic genes in that way. Tomorrow we will be adding another half of mile, and continuing this until next week so they wont be as tired. So, wish us luck. We are doing it for a good cause. We are in training.

After we arrived home it was time to make our traditional Thursday meal of Top Ramon and a half of sandwich. Because Michael has soccer practice for an hour, and then a half hour to get to his wrestling practice. So he did a lot today. But, I am very proud of him because he didn't complain about either of those. He did a great job!

After wrestling practice we had to run to Walmart because I forgot to get Elizabeth's lunch for her field trip tomorrow. So, the three kids ran in to get this, by the time wrestling was over it was after 8. Wrestling is from 7-8 p.m. Already past the kids bed time. Then on the way home we stopped for gas.

First thing when we arrived home Michael took a bath, and then all the kids went to bed. Then it was time for mommy to work on her online classes. Sunday is my last day of my first two classes. This is my 9th week of classes. Next week on to some more.
Now it is time to go to bed, get some rest, and start another busy day all over again in the morning.

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

Just taking it easy today, waiting for his call.

DAY 28-

Wow, not a whole lot happened today. I took the kids to school, bought me a coffee and went to Sonic and got some french toast sticks. I should have stuck with the breakfast burrito. Then I came home to do some laundry and clean the kitchen. It was then time for Johnathan to arrive home.

And then more cleaning. The older two arrive home 2 hours early today. It seems that they don't do half days here, they only do 2 hour early releases. When they got home it was time for Michael to do his homework. When he was done we did one lap of walking around some of our neighborhood. We will continue to practice until next weekend when it is the March of Dimes. I'm getting a little nervous about that, were not use to walking that much, so we will just see how it goes. Hopefully the kids do well.

When we arrived home the kids played out back for a few minutes, until they decided that they didn't want to listen. Then I made dinner. I think it might have been the best dinner that I have made since Josh left. I have been feeding the kids of course, and making sure they have their vegetables and everything. Tonight I baked some chicken, had mashed potatoes and green beans. Michael at least has seconds, but Johnathan wasn't into the chicken or green beans. Elizabeth of course didn't like her green beans, but ate her chicken first.

Then it was time for the kids to go to bed. Mommy was so ready for this, there was a lot of screaming and fighting today since they were home 2 hours early.

My days really don't seem to go so well after Josh doesn't call for a few days, so I really hope that he is able to call soon. I'm really missing him.

Wishing you were HOME, here with me......

DAY 27-

Today I took the older two to school yet again. I know, I love my half hour of extra sleep, especially when I am not able to get to bed until late. I was trying to fill out their picture forms today, but of course I couldn't find them, (and of course just a few minutes ago I found them, ACK!) so, I had to go into their school today and fill out the picture forms with the other few parents. Then deliver the forms to their individual classes. After that I ran home to put on my make up, because I had Bible Study. When Bible Study was over, I came home and waited for Johnathan's bus. Put on the t.v, and took a nap. Michael had soccer practice tonight, but that was about all that happened today.

I am just so worn out. These past 3 deployments have caught up to me. I know it is not at all my husbands fault, and he has a job to do. But I am so sick and tired of raising OUR children on my own. Every stinking day I am worn out from being mommy and daddy, and dealing with the behavior that is thrown my way from. Everything from temper tantrums, to lying, to screaming, etc. And just raising them on my own period! And being reminded that this will not be our last deployment just gets me even more. I just want my husband to be home with me, I want to be a family together, not separated by thousands of miles. I am tired of only being able to hear my husbands voice every 2-3 days because he is busy with his job. I am trying my best to be a strong wife, and a strong mom, but sometime these things just sneak up and bite me on the rear.

It really doesn't help feeling the loneliness of not having him around either. And being here in a new place, knowing people, but not really knowing them. I just really hope this time goes by fast, at least until R and R, when he is able to be home with us, for his "vacation home for 2 weeks". I just need that to split up the deployment. For me, the second half of the deployment, after R and R always seems to speed up. Then at least I know we are halfway over this nightmare.

Yes, I am a VERY PROUD ARMY WIFE, I have handled 3 deployments, and thought, or should I say only hoped and Prayed that would have been our last. Boy was I wrong, these things are never going to end for us. And I don't mind the moves, as long as my husband is here with us, especially after moving to a new place only four months ago, and my husband being gone almost a month of that. I will just continue taking this nightmare deployment one day at a time, and planning stuff to keep the kids and I busy, to have upcoming things to look forward to. Then, hopefully this time apart from my husband goes by a little faster.

Nate The Great, and I never thought I would have to practice the Army Low Crawl...

DAY 26-

I drove Josh's truck today, for the 2nd time, go me! I took the kids to school, so, it wasn't that far but far enough. And then I came home, washed some laundry, folded it put it away, and got online. That is until Johnathan's bus came back home.

When Johnathan got home we ran to the PX on post. I had to cash a check, and then we needed to run to the commissary to pick up a few groceries. We were only gone about an hour and a half, which was a good thing because we had a late start. Upon arriving home, it was time to clean up the house until Michael and Elizabeth got off the bus.

When they got off the bus, I started to make dinner. We were having breakfast for dinner, eggs, sausage, and hash browns. And the kids ate dinner in their pajamas because we were going to watch the Play "Nate The Great". I remember reading this story to the kids at the beginning of the year, so it was great having an idea of what was coming next.

We were given the opportunity by Imagination Celebration, which is one of our favorite places. We had an amazing time from beginning until the end. We arrived at 6 p.m for craft time. They had tables set up with crafts that the kids could do. It was fun. They also gave out a "play book" at the door with more information, and a place to get autographs.

During the time of doing the crafts at the table, the kids had to go to the bathroom, of course. So Michael went into the boys restroom because he is getting older, and I took Johnathan and Elizabeth into the handi-cap stall. I went in, closed and locked the door. Then she told me that she didn't have to go. At this time Johnathan was messing with the toilet paper, and Elizabeth was screaming because he was doing this. Not sure why, I just knew I wanted to get out of the bathroom as fast as possible. Problem was, that bathroom door was not going to un-lock, no matter what. Trust me I tried. So, I told Elizabeth to first climb under the door, and then Johnathan. Then I passed my purse and Johnathan's diaper bag to them. I was so embarrassed. Now, it was time for mommy to practice the Army Low Crawl. It was good thing I am not bigger then some children because there wasn't much room under that bathroom door and I had to low crawl under it. I was afraid that somebody would stand there laughing. But the lady standing outside 2 doors down didn't even seem to notice. I told another lady that was a worker there, and she laughed a little, and just said they should just leave it so no one else has that happen to them. I guess it was another thing to remember, and be embarrassed about tonight. I think I must have "please crazy situations happen to me" stamped on my forehead.

After that happened we went upstairs where they had some other stuff going on. Little Gym was there, and were letting the kids do a little tumbling with help. My kids also really enjoyed that, and did not want to leave. But then the lights started flashing off and on (at first I was thinking great, the power was going out) I found out that meant the show was about to start. The kids and I had to use the elevator and go back downstairs to our seats. We had really good seats. It was a great family show, and the kids were better behaved during the show then what I thought they would be. The 3 actors, and 2 actress are from New York, and did a great job with the play.

After the Play "Nate The Great" was over they had cookies and milk, or orange juice for all the kids. And an autograph session with the actors and actresses. We were in line for awhile to get autographs, but then I decided the younger two were not behaving so, we left. It was something Michael wanted to do though. Then we came home, and the kids went to bed.

It was an awesome, fun experience for the kids and I. They had never experienced anything like this before. We really appreciate Imagination Celebration for giving us the chance to experience it. What a wonderful way to help the day pass by in a great way, and here we are another day closer to seeing Josh.

Lost in the Night....

DAY 25-

Last night we spent the night at a friends house because I was babysitting. The 3 kids and I, and the dog. I had to take the kennel, which is big, and our 80 something pound dog. Apparently, since he has not been in the car since our big move from Maryland to here, he got car sick for the hour he was in the car. Not a very welcoming site when you open the truck. So, after arriving at the house, the first thing I had to do before carrying the enormous kennel inside, was clean it. Boy did that just stink! Literally!

She had plenty of room for the kids and I to sleep, and even an extra twin bed. Our dog Luke was a pain though, and a big embarrassment. He was peeing everywhere, so he kept on being put back in his kennel. He hasn't done that since we moved into this house 4 months ago, when he was "marking his territory". That is why we are not having anymore dogs. It was just more of a pain, and worry having to take him to spend the night, and then him doing that. We woke up around 8, and she made biscuits and gravy and also sausage. It was good, I haven't had either in who know when. After the kids and I ate, and got ready we were on our way home to drop off Luke.

I had to carry the enormous kennel back in the house, I let him outside, and then back inside his kennel. We were going to Church. For once, we were extra early to Church. Usually we are right on time. We will have to try that more often. I took the kids to their rooms, and then I sat alone. After Church we came home and ate lunch and then I had work to do for my online classes. Then we were waiting around the house to go to our Army Wives Watching Army Wives.

First, before we went to that, we had to go to Walmart and get brownies. Which by this time it was already 6:50 p.m. I got distracted talking to my friend who was walking through the neighborhood. She doesn't live to far from us. It was nice talking to her because I don't get to talk to her that often. Then after she left I was trying to put the directions in my GPS, but it didn't work so I had to grab my husbands GPS. We used that one to get to her house. It was like If you live in Washington and your driving from Spanaway to Yelm. The place reminded me a little of Yelm. Of course Josh's GPS got us lost and was driving us around circles. I was getting frustrated, and about ready to give up since I had never been there. But I was glad I didn't. When we got there we met ALL NEW ladies. We never met any of them before. They were all really nice also. We had a great time. I spent most of the time socializing, and now need to re-watch tonight's episode. That is okay though, because I hardly get to talk to other adults.

When leaving we of course got lost in the night. I was getting so frustrated because Josh's GPS wanted to take me down a road that was closed, and would not figure out a different way. I tried, and then it took me down a street, which I thought was a new way. It took me right back to where we came from. So, it was a good thing that I had my GPS. It took me TWO GPS's to get home. I had both of them set to our home address hoping one of them would get me home.It was crazy. For a few minutes I felt like I was trapped in a maze that I was never going to get out of. It was dark, and I had no clue where I was because I had never been there before. But, we finally made it. By this time the kids fell asleep in the car. I took a picture of all of them sleeping, it was cute. They had a long day. So, they all went right to bed when we got home.

It was nice tonight though, I got to "talk" to Josh on Facebook chat for a few minutes. It made my night. It will be a couple of days until I chat with him again. He will be busy. And it was nice seeing a picture of him in Iraq, with the lady that I babysat her son, her husband was also in the picture.

Even though I got to "talk" with him tonight, I still wish he was here with me. I caught myself again tonight, looking downstairs after closing the kids bedrooms doors, and getting a little sad, wishing he was sitting on the couch waiting for me. This is not our first deployment, in fact it is our fourth, and the thing that really stinks, and saddens me even more is that, this will not be our last deployment.

I finally got up the nerve too......

DAY 24-

Today started out great because I got to hear my husbands voice, first thing this morning. He called about 9:25, and we got to talk for 18 minutes, 25 seconds. Until his phone card ran out. He wont be calling me for a couple days at least because that seems to be what he does. Then it was time to get the kids up. Michael had his 3rd game today, but 2nd one he was able to be at.

The thing I did today, that I finally got the nerve, because I said I would never ever do it is, drive my husbands truck. His truck was sitting for the last 3 weeks. So, I pulled it out today and drove it to my sons soccer game. I was nervous the entire time. It doesn't have the beeping signals like my Armada does if it gets to close to something. So, I parked far away. And yes, I did say a Prayer before I started driving it, that is how nervous I was. Poor kids probably thought mommy was crazy. Michael did well at the game. They had team pictures before, and then tied 1-1 at the game. But, we made it to and from safely, and I didn't even leave a scratch on my husbands big baby. After the game we went right home.

When we arrived home we had to hurry in and pack all of us some clothes, and get the dog and his kennel. While at the game I had our friend who's husband is deployed with Josh, text me and see if I could babysit tonight, and spend the night. That meant bringing our dog Luke and his big kennel also. So, I pulled my Armada out of the garage, turned it around and backed it in so I could put Luke's huge kennel, and him in the back. Plus our clothes and stuff. Then we were off, we were only home about an hour.

We were then headed to Imagination Celebration, my new favorite place of all time. They had our tickets for the play the kids and I are going to see on Monday, Nate the Great. We are also looking forward to that. We saw some nice ladies that we know also at Imagination Celebration, they are on a group that were on Facebook. So we talked to them before leaving.

Then we were off to babysit the little one, in which we are here now. We are spending the night here while mommy went to work. She was nice and ordered pizza for us. At least I don't have to worry about Josh calling tonight since he already called for his 2-3 days, now I have to only wait for the next call in couple of days.

I sent off his first care package today, but not the last...

DAY-23

Johnathan doesn't have school on Fridays, but I still took the older two to school today. I like that few extra minutes of sleep instead of rushing out to the bus stop. Michael had his first field trip with this school today. It was to some art place. I would have loved to go with my son, but on the parent permission slip they said they already had their parent volunteers.

Later on Johnathan and I took Josh's first care package to the Post Office, and now that is sent off. It should be to him in two weeks, about. We got his address a couple days ago, I just took the last couple days to add a few last minute items. In this care package I sent a twin air mattress, in which we already had, he had asked me to send it. I sent some snacks, his oh, not so lovely chew, and some pictures of the day he left. The ones taken of all of us, him and I, and then each one with the kids. I also sent a picture of his big baby, a.k.a, his truck.

After that Johnathan and I drove about 25 minutes to a park playdate. He had fun, but it was hard for mommy to socialize, making sure he didn't get hurt. That is all I would need, him getting hurt and then daddy asking, were you watching him? So, I stuck by him. We stayed about an hour and then came home. It was then time to get Michael and Elizabeth off the bus.

When we were walking home our neighbor was outside. I knew I needed to ask her about if her son could get Josh's truck started back up for me. I really hate asking for peoples help. She said her son's friend was coming over shortly and he could help. And he did, I was so thankful for that. Now, my hubby won't be in a bad mood because his truck is not running. The kids also had a science class after school. Well, since the neighbor was planting some stuff, she had them help her. They really enjoyed that. And they got to water to. So, we were outside about an hour before we came in.

I was asking Michael about his field trip, and how it was and if he had far to go. He said he had fun. And he said they had a long trip, because it was in Denver. Which is like an hour away. I seriosuly didn't remember signing a form to take him to Denver. I am curious now so I need to ask the teacher. No wonder why he wanted a book to read on the bus, but mommy was like, Your not going to have a long ride. It really shocked me when he told me it was Denver. Hmm, I wil have to see.

Then it was dinner, pajamas, and a movie. We had our frozen pizza, and fries tonight. Great combination, I know, but the kids liked it. Tonight I ordered Alvin and the Chipmunks the squeakel off On Demand. I was sitting on the couch and then was all of a sudden tired. So, I fell asleep on the couch after I ate, and they were right there with me watching the movie.

I don't know what it is about the couch anymore. It puts me to sleep everytime I'm on it. Probably because I have tried avoiding the couch since Josh left. I hardly sit down on it anymore, if I do, only for a short period of time. A part of me just doesn't want to go there, just remembering the time we spent watching t.v on it.

Today was a pretty good day, but then I get to moments like these where I am all alone, my house is quiet, nobody is around me, and it just reminds me that I still have awhile until I see my hubby again, and that just stinks!!!

I can't believe I did that...

DAY 22-

This morning I took the kids to school yet again, after Johnathan got on his bus. Thankfully I had some cash left on me from yesterday. So, I sent that with them also and that way I did not have to make them lunch. When I came home I decided to lay down on the couch and take a half hour nap. I had set the time to wake up on my phone. Well, the time kept on ending, and then I would reset it, and this happened a few times. Well, 3 hours later, I was up. Only because Johnathans bus was going to be here. I can't believe I did that, what a waste of morning. There could have been so many other things I could have done. And better yet, even after 3 hours of extra sleep, I was still tired.

After Johnathan came home, I went down to the basement and printed Josh some pictures off the computer so I can put them in his care package. I was planning on sending that today, but I will do that tomorrow. While downstairs Johnathan was watching t.v upstairs, well he was suppose to be. But, instead he knocked down all of our VHS movies, (who has those anymore, oh yeah, that would be us) So then when I came back up, I had to clean those up. Then it was time for Michael and Elizabeth to come home from school.

When they arrived home I had them draw, and color a picture for daddy to put in his care package. I was making dinner while they were doing this. Something quick, easy, and lite. Michael had soccer practice for an hour, and they we had a half hour to get to his wrestling practice for an hour. Thankfully they are not to far apart. I was proud of him for doing both tonight. He did a good job. We didn't arrive home until 8:15 p.m, and then the kids had quick baths and went to bed.

Besides my 3 hour not fullfilling nap, today was yet another busy day. Tomorrow is not going to be as busy, and then I can concentrate on cleaning the house, before our busy weekend. I'm glad our days our going by fast, because I cannot wait for that day in 5 and a half months, that I can hug and kiss my husband again.

Today I did feel like Super Mom....

DAY 21-

I just want to start off my Blog wishing my oldest son a HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY!!!!!
8 years ago, I became a mom for the first time. Was I ready? I think not! I was only 19 when I had my son. And my husband, of only 6 months at that time was the same age. We found out we were pregnant with our son 2 months after we graduated, which means 1 month after graduating we got pregnant. What an awakening after Graduating. A complete change of plans, we were married about a year earlier then planned because we were to become parents. And to this day, I'm proud of my husband for standing by my side and not running the opposite way when he was an 18 year old teenager who found out he was going to be a father, and soon after and 18 year old teenager to become a husband. Here it is 8 years later, and we have been married 8 and a half years, even through now the start of our 4th deployment. We have had our ups, and we have had our downs, and we have kept our love growing strong through all of it, so, it is also a day to celebrate us, becoming parents for the first time, sticking together after finding out at such a young age, and celebrating everything since that day we found out we were going to be parents. I love you Josh!!!

Today was such a busy, busy day! After Johnathan got on his bus, I took the older two to school. I decided to treat myself, and in celebrating the first time I became a mom, and went and got myself a breakfast burrito, tots, and an orange juice at Sonic. I had my husband tell me a few weeks before he left that they had the best breakfast burritos there, and I should try one. So, I did. Then I went and got me my coffee at my coffee stand. I know I should stop. But it reminds me of Home, because of all the coffee stands in Washington. I'm addicted to, because of my best friend! After getting that I came home, ate and then fixed my hair and put on my make up. I then left again to head to the PX. I needed to cash Michael's birthday check for tonight. I also picked up a few items to finish off Josh's care package. I hope to plan on sending that tomorrow, since I got his address yesterday. I have been picking up little things for it here and there for the past week. Before I went to the PX though I had to get gas because I was down to a half of a tank.

After leaving the PX I ran to the kids school, I needed to take their lunch money because I was to lazy to make lunches today, and had not cash. So I got cash back at the PX for that. I then went home after living the kids school to get Johnathan off the bus. He came inside to eat lunch and I cleaned some of the house up, mainly did the dishes though. After he was done eating we ran to Walmart. I got Michael a Cupcake Cake for his class, it was Transformers. And I picked up some Capri-Sun for his class also, While at Walmart, I also picked up his birthday cake for us, and some ice cream, and also a few other things. Then Johnathan and I came home for an hour and I did a little more cleaning, and put Michael's birthday cups, plates, napkins, and his cake on the table with my 3 kids filled treat bags. I did that so he could see them when he came home from school.

When the hour was up, Johnathan and I went to the kids school, we were told we could take the Cupcake Cake to school at 2:45 p.m. When first arriving at the school and walking down the hallway, the first person I see who just happens to be getting water out of all the kids in the school, happened to be my daughter. She didn't know I was bringing her brother cupcakes. I was a bit worried she would throw a temper tantrum, but I told her we were having cake later. She gave me a hug, and went back to her resource class. I went to Michael's class to give the treats to the kids. Michael picked two friends to help pass out the cupcakes, paper towels, and Capri Sun. Of course, mommy had to help to. I think the kids must have had a hard time believing I was his mom (I think I'm one of the youngest 2nd grade moms at his school) I heard them talking in little confused voices, like they were finding it hard to believe, "Is that Ms. Meeks?" Of course they are to young to understand the difference between, Ms,and Mrs. I had to laugh to myself. I told them, Yes, I am Michael's mom. This whole time Johnathan was running around like a crazy little boy. By the time everything was passed out, and finished school was over and the bell rang. It was time to go. I was trying to hurry to the front of the building to grab Elizabeth before she got on the bus. I noticed she was already gone and figured it wouldn't be that big of deal, the bus is headed our way anyway. Michael had gone somewhere at the front of the school to get his birthday pencil. At the end of the school day they announce all the kids in the schools birthday, and tell them to go get their pencil. There were 3 today. So I was going to meet him out front by the office. I was signing out wondering where he was, when all of a sudden I look out, and he had Elizabeth. He took it upon himself to go and pull her off the bus. I was proud of him for doing that. We then left, and headed home.

We were home for a half and hour while Michael changed into nicer clothes for his pictures, and I went to the basement to print out our Chuckie Cheese coupons, then we hit the road again. Off to Walmart. Michael had his 8 year old pictures taken today. I also picked the ones up from Johnathan's birthday, and have those to add to Josh's care package tomorrow. When Michael's pictures were finished we met up with our friend, that her husband is deployed with Josh, and her husband shares a name with my husband. And then her son who shares a birthday with Elizabeth, and will be 2. We went to Chuckie Cheese. In the car Elizabeth was talking about Daddy again. She is really missing daddy, but still is really confused about why he is not here. I continue to explain to her he will always be her daddy, and in a few months she will see him again. I told her in about 5 and a half months he will be home to visit. Which only confused her more, because poor little girl got so excited, and happy and was screaming YAY!! I felt so bad after that.

It really seems like this time was more tiring then the last time, and our friend was with us. The kids behavior was a lot better last time. We ate, but they didn't eat as well as last time. Then they went to use their tokens for the games, our friend gave them some additional coins also. And she was kind enough to give Michael a birthday present, but I mainly wanted her there for mommy to have someone to visit. I bought Michael a soccer ball, and a cup as his prize. After leaving Chuckie Cheese we came home for Michael to open his 3 presents, and have his cake and ice cream. I think we finally arrived home around 7:30 p.m. The kids were able to go to bed about 8:30 p.m after our Prayer time. I took plenty of pictures today, and will post them on my facebook so that hopefully daddy can see. He now is able to have Internet where he is which is a fabulous thing.

Now mommy is super tired, after feeling like a Super Mom, and super busy lady today. I think I will be getting good sleep tonight. Being Super Busy today, sure made this day go by Super fast, and yet, here we are, another day closer to seeing Josh....

Always makes me feel better when I talk to my hubby...

DAY 20-

It drives me crazy when I'm not able to talk to my hubby. He just doesn't understand because he is a man, and he is busy where he is. It is lonely being the only adult around with 3 kids. The only people I'm really able to talk to are on the phone. So, that especially makes me want to hear his voice, even though I do anyways. Well, I got to talk to him for the longest time today, no cut off, yes! 25 minutes 29 seconds, and it will probably be a few days until I hear his voice again. But, at least that was a lot longer then 4 minutes. I was having a rough day today missing him. So that call made me feel a lot better, in which means I can enjoy my oldest sons Birthday tomorrow. Shoot, I better go put up his few decorations so he can see those in the morning. Speaking of my sons birthday, and my hubby, My husband had me wake our oldest up to wish him a Happy Birthday. He probably won't remember in the morning though, poor boy sleeps like a rock!

I went to Bible study this morning. The discussion part of it was great. And then it was over, and everyone split into their little groups of friends and started talking, and guess what, I had no one to talk to. Everybody was to busy with their conversation. So, I left. And I doubt anyone probably noticed. Since I had extra time before Johnathan came off the bus, I ran to get a coffee. It was just one of those blah, not great at all days, and I needed a pick me up. After getting Johnathan from the bus in front of the house, I was really in no mood to do my online classes, but forced myself to work on one. And I really didn't want to clean. Is it so wrong of me to miss my husband? At least in 10 days we can say he has been gone for a month, and then we can say we will see him in 5 months for his R and R. Hopefully things will start going by faster then. For now, they just stink. I'm just sick of having my husband go away on deployments, especially being the 4th one. I wish he was here so we could be a family together, not a family apart.

Tonight was Michael's first soccer game. He missed Saturdays since I was sick. So, it was his first. I felt so bad because I was so miserable in the cold, very windy weather that I could not enjoy his game. The weather was so horrible, something you wouldn't want to be in, let alone for a whole hour. I felt bad, but was ready for his game to be over. I took the camera, but my hands were so frozen, and blue that I could not take any pictures. So, I hope the weather is not so bad on Saturdays game. The sad thing is we were looking forward to it, but it was just a horrible experience.

Well, I can get off here feeling in a better mood then before, It just stinks being separated from my husband. But thankful I was able to hear his voice....

This hasn't been the easiest of days...

DAY 19-

This hasn't been the easiest of days, I still have not heard from my husband since our phone call was cut off after 4 short minutes. I'm pretty sure everything is okay with him, and they say no news is good news anyways. But, it makes me wonder, what happened? Why hasn't he called me back and let me know. Which leads to frustration, how can I be a supportive Army wife, if he is not trying to communicate with me. Unless it is for a good reason that he was not able to use the phones because they were out. I hope it is not because he would rather spend his time playing video games, or weightlifing. I fully understand my husband doesn't have to call me all the time. He doesn't anyways, and after my last call I had to wait a couple of days, and then when I did talk to him, it just went silent after 4 minutes. I'm just having a hard time figuring out, why he hasn't even attempted to call me back and let me know what happened. Before we have been cut off, and he will call back right away. And that is what I thought would happen this time, but it didn't. I have had wives tell me maybe it is because a blackout. Which means when a soldier is killed in action, they cut off all communication so that the family can be notified. I don't know that this happened, I hope not, I really don't know what is going on. And I really don't want to hear that either. My husband is gone, he is not in the States, he is deployed to a dangerous place. I really don't need this put on my mind that a Soldier could have been KIA somewhere around my husband. I'm not going down that road, of being worried every day, in the front of my mind. That will remain on the back of my mind that something like that could happen, but the kids and I will just continue to Pray every night for my husbands safety, and the other soldiers safety. Right now, I am just going to keep it on my mind that my husband is just being my husband and if he had any free time, he was playing video games or whatever. I would much rather think that then the other.

Today I tried keeping busy and doing my online classes, but of course I just continue to be frusturated. All three of my kids were in school today. And then tonight I took my son to his soccer practice.

When I was putting my kids to bed, my 5 year old daughter asked me, "Is he not my daddy anymore?" This brought tears to my eyes that she would even have to think anything like this. Of course I reminded her, that no matter how old she is, daddy will always be her daddy.

I'm just really hoping he calls soon, I just really want to know what happened, my husband like always, is going to continue to be in my thoughts, and wondering what is going on.

Happy Easter Everyone!!!!!

DAY 18-

Not long after I wrote my blog last night, my husband called me, it was more of a tease, or felt like a dream than anything else. We only got to talk for 4 minutes, before the line cut off, and until now 24 hours later, he still has not called back. I don't know what happened, but those 4 minutes was not long enough to talk to him. Yes, I got to hear his voice, but when your in the middle of saying something to your husband, and then realize he is no longer on the other line, it really kind of hurt after I realized he wasn't calling back. So, it really might not have even been 4 minutes. This is our first Holiday this Deployment without Josh, and of course it won't be the last one this deployment. Unfortunately we have missed quite a few Holidays together on the Last 3 deployments.

Last night when he called the kids were decorating Easter Eggs, it was late because of the crazy day yesterday. They each got to dye a few eggs. Even though it was late, I really didn't want them to miss the experience, and beings I'm the only parent here, that means I'm the only one that could give them the opportunity. So, after that it was bath time, and then bed time. By this time it was at least 11:30 p.m. Usually every night I stick with them getting their pajamas on by 7:15 p.m, and then doing Bible Study, and Praying with them, and having them in bed by 8:00 p.m, and this goes for usually every night, weekday or weekend. So, last night, it was very uncommon.

After they went to bed I filled the 12 plastic eggs with candy. I figured each child could have 4 of those. Then I hard boiled 18 eggs, for them to dye, so each child would get 6 of those. Which would bring them to a total of 10 eggs a piece. Which was enough for them. Finally it was bedtime for mommy, I think it was 12:30 a.m by the time I went to bed.

I told myself, I was going to get up at 7 a.m to hide the eggs, well that didn't happen. I woke up at 8:40 a.m. The kids were up, thankfully they don't have a window to the backyard. I told them to stay in their bedrooms because it was not time for them to get up yet, haha, they didn't know the difference. I told them I would come and get them when it was time to come out. So, I grabbed my long pajama pants, and my fleece, because I wasn't quite ready to put on my dress yet. I went downstairs, grabbed the Easter eggs, all 30 of them, and went to the backyard, for Mommy's big adventure of hiding them, A.K.A The Easter Bunny. After I was done I went to the kids rooms and let them know the Easter Bunny had came. I had also set their Easter Baskets on the table last night. All 3 of the kids put on their Easter clothes, and came downstairs to open their Easter Baskets. After they opened the baskets, and took their toys out we went outside to find the Easter eggs. Then we came back inside to have breakfast. Nothing fancy, but enough for them to say "your the best mommy" Score! Well they had a doughnut, half of a banana, and one of their eggs they found outside. I was surprised they all ate their eggs. I took plenty of pictures of them during this time. Then it was time for mommy to get ready, we were going to Church.

When we got to Church today, there were so many people. I know a lot of people go on Christmas, and Easter, but wow. They had chairs set up in the entry way, and of course that is where Michael and I sat. They didn't have any grade school class today, but they had class for the other two. He ended up sitting in my lap so we could be in the first row, out in the entry way. That way we could see a little better. Don't forget, he will be 8 on Wednesday, so he is not a small boy.

After Church we were fortunate enough to be invited to a friends house for a BBQ. We had a lot of fun there, and were there from around 12:30-4:50 p.m. The kids had fun playing with other kids, and mommy had a great time socializing with other adults. Something that doesn't get to happen much anymore. Elizabeth didn't want to leave in fact, and threw a temper tantrum. The only way to get her to leave was to carry her to the car. I don't know what we would have done if they didn't invite us, we really don't know many people here, so we probably would have came home and have been bored. So, we were very thankful for the invite.

After we got home I rested, but not really with the screaming, and fighting, and bugging mommy. I then fed the kids cereal, again, for dinner since they had a late lunch, and we were not that hungry. Tonight the kids were able to be in bed on time, and that made mommy very happy.

I'm just going to be sitting here, hoping, and wishing that my husband will call me again. I just want to know what happened last night, I really want to have the chance to talk to him more then 4 minutes. Until then, I can only treasure those 4 minutes that I did have talking with him.
