DAY 74-
Hey everyone We arrived in Washington last night and drove to Oregon today. It has been a very long couple of days. The kids did really well for their first airplane flight. We arrived safely, and then went to my parents house in which I never had been to before. They had moved since I was home almost two years ago. It was a different experience going to their place, but not the old home I was use to. I had a little tears in my eyes pulling up to the new house. I never really never had the last chance to be in the old house. We drove by there today, the old house, the grass was over grown and awful. We also drove bye the High School Josh and I met. They are doing so much construction on it, it didn't even look like the same school. That was sad to. And then the neighborhoods around the school, and the old neighborhood are very junky. It doesn't make me miss living there.
I think that this is it for tonight. Sorry I haven't had much to say in the last few day, I have been very tired. Hopefully I will write more tomorrow. Missing, loving, and thinking of my hubby.
What would you do if your husband was deployed 4 times and you were left to raise the children for a year at a time? And moved 3 times in 4 years.Could you do it? This is OUR story of how We have survived 4 deployments and 3 moves in 4 years. Come read our Journey and how is is to be an Army Family. Home is where the Army moves us, from here to there to everywhere...
My husband and I
One of the 4 hardest time's of my life...

Good things, come to those who wait...
DAY 71-
If it isn't hard enough that I'm away from the man I love, If it wasn't hard enough when our trip was canceled yesterday until Saturday after being all checked into the airport and ready to go, it sure made it hard today when Elizabeth was sick!
I really didn't feel like doing anything today. I was not suppose to be waking up in Colorado, we were suppose to be waking up in my parents house, (in which I have never been to because they moved since we moved 2 years ago). I was suppose to be with my parents, with them helping me out. And we were suppose to leave tomorrow on Friday to head to Oregon. But no, everything was changed. Yesterday was a beautiful day. Apparently not long before our flight was suppose to leave, the weather in Denver turned horrible. There were tornadoes, and hail the size of golf balls. And then since our flight was canceled, and there are 4 of us, the next flight was not until Saturday night! Ugh, I wanted to scream and cry at the same time. The kids were throwing temper tantrums, and crying when I told them, as we were sitting at the gate, waiting for the plane to pull up, that it was cancelled, and we had to go home. This meant I had to call our neighbor to come pick us up. I didn't have the number to the lady that dropped us off, and she had the car seats. Oh well, we made it home safely.
Yesterday when we were leaving for vacation, my house was so nice and clean. Leave it to my kids, when I don't want to be here right now, to destroy it and make it such a mess. So, tomorrow, before we leave for our vacation, yet again, I have to re-clean the house!
I had called a total of 4 times to the airline, trying to get an earlier flight. They were booked, it was not possible at all. Finally, my parents had called to see about the return flight. Good things come to those that wait, well we have extended our vacation 2 weeks, and will be home almost a month! Which is what my parents originally wanted. My in-laws also, they were going to come out here and visit us in July, but it's not going to work out anymore. So, it all works out for us, and we are keeping our Saturday flight. I just have to go through the process of checking in bags, security check, and dealing with kids that don't want to listen, alone, AGAIN! It will all work out, when we can get to my parents house and see them.
So, here we are at our house, having a count down again, until we can fly out. Thinking of, missing and loving my husband.

Flying on a Jet Plane.... (With an edit)
DAY 70-
We will be leaving soon. The kids will be going on their first airplane flight. It is just going to be the 4 of us. I can't wait to see friends and family, but yet I'm a little sad to leave my house, with all of my things I use on a daily basis. It was hard knowing what to pack for all 4 of us for 2 weeks. Making sure we have the right amount of clothes, toys, etc.
Thank you to our neighbor who will be watching Luke for 2 weeks. I really appreciate it. This is it for tonight, I still have things to do, such as school work. Next time I write, I will be in Washington. Thinking of, loving, and missing my hubby as were getting ready to take a vacation "home", the place where we both met.
EDIT- it is 9:37 p.m, and I'm sitting here at home when I should be half way to Washington State. Our flight was canceled, and we are not able to fly out until Saturday. The kids and I are really bummed right now. We had someone drop us off at the airport. We got all checked in, ate dinner, and went and waited at our gate. Thanks to the bad weather in Denver it was canceled. And because we are traveling as 4 people, all other flights were booked until Saturday. It was a pain having to leave the airport with all 3 kids. And Elizabeth throwing temper tantrums. Now, I have to go through all of this all over again on Saturday! I guess things do happen for a reason, hmm, just wondering what that reason could be. I was looking forward to being home. And I didn't want to have to come back to the house with all of our luggage. So, until Saturday, when our vacation begins! (Unless I can get another flight out before that, If I have to I will call every hour)

Less then 24 hours until we see my parents...
DAY 69- (Not such a great number, maybe that is why it was a strange day!)
Today while Michael and Elizabeth were at their last day of school for 3 hours we were having repairs done. Again, it was completely left up to Elizabeth to go to school. And she wanted to. But that is probably because they were taking a present to their teachers. Something small, a note pad, pen, paper clip things and a card. They were just having an Assembly today.
When they got home, the repairs were finished for the day, not long after. They will be back here to fix them in 2 weeks, after we get home from vacation. We fly out Wednesday night. Were so excited.
Today I went to Fort to try and get a sticker from Fort for the car. I first almost was turned around at the gate when I asked for directions to the place. He thought my sticker was already expired. I said, I thought it expired in June. So, he told me the location, and not the directions. I was trying to drive around and figure it out. Finally I found the spot. Well, I could see it at least. I was stuck on Fort though. They closed all gates in and out. I was stuck with a ton of cars around and a closed gate, with the place I needed to be just on the other side. We waited 10 minutes, then we heard MP'S. We waited another 10 minutes, and they finally decided to let us out. Every car was stopped and searched and we had to show our Military I.D's while EXITING the gate. Apparently, When I was asking about why we were being searched going out of the gate, the guard said a 1 and 2 year old child were missing. Hopefully they were found safe and sound.
We arrived at our destination. I was getting my registration, Power of Attorney, I.D card, and looking for my insurance card. Crap, the one I had was expired the end of last month. So, it ended up being a waste of trip. We did go to the PX after to cash a check, but we wouldn't have been caught in the crazy situation.
So, when we arrived home I finished packing for our flight. It is all ready to go. Now just a few things to do around the house before we fly out tomorrow night. I cannot wait. I still miss my husband though, and it still won't make it any easier since we are flying back to the state we met. I hope these next few months go by fast so that I can see him. I miss him tons.

Vacation Countdown...
DAY 68-
I forgot to add on my Sunday blog. Saturday when we were having "Mom's night in", I was able to talk to my hubby. I usually don't like to be the rude one and talk on the phone when I have someone over. But, since my husband is only able to call every few days (time before that was Tuesday morning), I talked to him for 28 minutes, and enjoyed every minute. I hate being away from the man I love.
Today, was half day for the kids. It was completely optional for Elizabeth, since she graduated kindergarten on Friday. I left it up to her to go. On a typical morning she throws a temper tantrum saying, "I don't want to go to school". Today I wasn't going to fight it. So, she ate breakfast at normal time, and I told her we still needed to take Michael to school. I told him not to take his back pack since they were just going to school for an Assembly. When we arrived at the school, I let Michael out of the car. All of a sudden, I heard, "I want to go to school mommy", I was like okay. I let her out of the car, watched her play for a few minutes, (they have recess in the morning before class), and made sure that she went to class. Then I came home.
Today the people we rent from came over to make some of the repairs from the Spring Inspection we had a month ago. They will be back tomorrow morning to finish them up. Right before they left for the day, around noon, the kids came home from school on the bus.
The rest of the day was spent doing laundry, and cleaning. Then tonight after dinner we went to Walmart. I needed dog food to take over to the neighbors on Wednesday. Swiffer wet, to clean my nasty floor. And and in expensive key board (in which I'm using now). My other wireless keyboard stopped working, even after changing the batteries.
I needed the keyboard because my assignments for both of my classes were already a day late since the keyboard wasn't working. We have a computer in the basement, but it doesn't have the program I needed. I needed on this computer I'm on now.
Well, in two days, The kids and I will be flying "home", to the state we are from for 2 weeks. That is why the neighbor needed the dog food. She is watching Luke for 2 weeks for us. We will be able to see my parents, other family and friends. I cannot wait. Our vacation is going to probably go by fast though. We are going back to the state where Josh and I met, and where we had all three of our kids. But our real home is where the Army takes us, and wherever Josh is. My heart follows wherever he goes. I love him sooo.. much that no words could explain. I will be happy to be around friends and family, but it still wont make up for the feeling of missing him and wanting to be with him. I hope these next few months go by fast, I cannot wait to see my amazing, handsome husband.

Very Busy Day...
DAY 67-
I'm starting to get very tired right now. Today has been a long, busy day. We woke up at 6:50 a.m this morning. I usually sleep in on weekends, but it worked out okay. The little boy that I was watching, and his mom spent the night. His mom and I ended up talking until nearly midnight then went to bed. Then he was up and ready to go at 6:50 a.m. As I was up getting dressed, my boys went downstairs. I was just getting ready to go downstairs to make breakfast, and my oldest came and told me they left.
I ended up making breakfast for us, and eating at the table as a family at 8 this morning. We had gone to Church this morning also. By the time it was time for Church at 11 a.m, it felt like we had already gone through one day. I was even busy this morning before Church, doing laundry, and cleaning the kitchen.
After Church, I continued to do laundry all day. As I washed clothes up, I would then pack the ones I want to take on our trip. I hate it when I fall behind on laundry. It is a pain. But, I'm almost caught up today, and almost packed.
Then tonight I cleaned up the basement where the kids toys are. We are suppose to be getting some repairs done tomorrow. The house looks all nice and clean now. Tomorrow, and Tuesday I will just have to go back through the house, and swiffer, sweep, vacuum, etc. I want a nice clean house when we return from vacation.
Waking up at 6:50 a.m worked out great, since I didn't take a nap, I was able to accomplish a lot around the house. Now on to a new day tomorrow. Each day we get through is not only a day closer for vacation, but a day closer to seeing my hubby. In which I'm missing him like crazy tonight. I'm hoping this time goes by fast.

Mommy's night in...
DAY 66-
Today the kids and I went to the commissary. They were pretty good this time, unlike a few weeks ago, last time I took them to the commissary. Then we came home and cleaned up the house.
I'm babysitting for a little while tonight. Then when his mommy gets here we are having a mommy's night in. His mommy and I will be having a couple select beverages, (something I usually never do), and watching a movie. Our husbands have been deployed just over 2 months and so we need this break. Then of course, they are spending the night. I also will be making Chicken Enchiladas for dinner tonight.
I cannot wait until she gets back to have our Mommy's night in. Until then, I have homework to do.
Thinking of my husband today, and wondering what he is up to. Praying that whatever he is doing that he stays safe! We love and miss you Josh!

Elizabeth Graduated Kindergarten today...
DAY 65-
First thing this morning, a half hour after the kids started school today, at 9 a.m, Elizabeth Graduated Kindergarten. All the little kindergartners came walking in a line to line up in front of all the waiting parents wearing their read caps, with a tassel that said 2010. They sang 4 songs. Elizabeth has been practicing them all week. They were very cute. Elizabeth participated in them all, she sang them all, did all the hand motions, and even was dancing. It was so adorable, I wish I had a camcorder.
When they were done singing the four songs, they called them by class, and they by each student. First they shook the Principals hand, then they received their certificate from their teacher, and then a family had donated a candy LEI, and a ribbon LEI, that was placed on the students. And they each walked back to class. The ceremony was about 45 minutes. And the cutest little Graduation, EVER!
After Graduation, the kids could either stay at school or go home. Only 7, out of 27 students stayed at school. I let Elizabeth decide if she wanted to go or stay. I was hoping she would stay, just because summer break is officially next week, then it is mommy versus 3 children all summer. So, I was hoping for all the break I could get. I didn't say anything to her. First thing, she grabbed her back pack. Then I took a picture with the teacher and Elizabeth, and was getting ready to leave with Elizabeth. All of a sudden Elizabeth heard the teacher ask the students if they had hot lunch or cold lunch. Elizabeth said, I want Hot lunch and threw down her back pack. I went along with that, paid for her lunch and left.
Johnathan and I went back later to eat lunch with her. In which he really didn't eat his lunch, the lunch ladies put plastic wrap on it and we brought it home. Johnathan and my lunches ended up being free. For some reason, the very few times both of my kids had ate lunch at school this year, they had enough extra to cover both lunches. Strange, but oh well, made me happy.
Then it was time for the 2nd graders to come in. Michael joined the table with Elizabeth, Johnathan and I. And we just all sat and ate. There is a lady that the older two like at school. She was trying to take Johnathan's hand to go and say hi to all the other 2nd graders. I think he thought she was trying to leave with him. He pulled his hand away, came running back to me, and said, "NO, this is my mommy!" as he was grabbing my shoulders. It was cute, I was proud of him. But then, he soon realized, okay my brother and sister are comfortable with her, and he went to see the second graders.
After lunch I checked Elizabeth out, they told her by and have a nice summer. The kindergartners are out for the summer now. All the other kids have half a day Monday and Tuesday.
Michael didn't have a good day today. Neither of the kindergartens he was in (we moved in April of the school year) were having a kindergarten graduation, when he was in kindergarten. So, he was jealous. Then he was not in the yearbook (we moved here in December). Elizabeth was in the yearbook under her class, plus other times. And he was upset, she started summer today, and he has two more day.
Tonight was also movie night. I ordered "The Tooth Fairy" off of On Demand, for the special day. And we had our typical pizza, with salad today.
I still hate that I feel the loneliness after putting the kids to bed. Even when I have things planned to do when they are in bed. I come downstairs, and I just feel that sadness, even if it is for a few minutes. It has been 2 months since he has been deployed. I cannot seem to get over that loneliness after the kids are in bed. Its not that I don't miss him any other time of the day, but that is the hardest time for me. The time it hits me he is not here, and we have 4 months and some odd days until we can see him again. It makes it even harder when he has to miss days like this, special ones, especially when the kids would love to have daddy here, and well, especially mommy too!!

Walk to the Park, Day #2..
DAY 64-
Today was "Walk to the Park", day 2 for Johnathan and I. Yesterday it was for Michael, and the 2nd graders, today it was for Elizabeth and the kindergartners. The weather was crazy, one minute it was so warm, and I was wishing I would have worn my shorts, the next minute it was so cold, I was sticking on my jacket. When we walked to and from, I was the "road block". I would take turns with Mrs. Campos, she would block one road from the cars, and I would do the next. That was so, we would get hit before the students. Lovely. But, thankfully nobody got hit, and nobody asked me, I volunteered. That way the teachers were able to stick with their students. The kids all had a great time. They were there from 9-12:15. I didn't realize I was sunburn until later, I scratched my arm, it hurt, I looked down, and it was all red. Oh Well.
Then I came home and took a nap with Johnathan. It was a long day out in the sun. When the older two arrived home from school, I made dinner, and then we ran to Walmart. I had to pick up a few things, such as training pants. Thankfully after that, it was time for the kids to take baths, do our Bible Study, and Pray.
Here again, I'm saving my homework until late! It is 10:54, I have really got to start doing it earlier. It has just been so crazy for me lately with being busy. So, now that I'm really tired, and ready to go lay down in my nice warm bed, I will be good and do my homework.

Alone, in a house full of kids...
DAY 63-
My days are still lonely with out my husband here. I try and stay busy, but I still find myself missing him. I feel lonely, and I have a house full of kids. I find my self pacing back and forth, bored not knowing what to do. But know I have lots to do. No, I'm not depressed, just missing my husband. And knowing that soon we will get to see family and friends, but that it is so close, but yet so far.
Today, Johnathan and I did the "Walk to the Park", with all of the 2nd graders at Michael's school. They left a few minutes early, so they were all at the park when we arrived at the school. I still needed to drop Elizabeth's lunch off at the office, and her jacket, because of the changing weather. Then Johnathan and I ended up being the end of the line for another class. That teacher asked me since she saw we were going to the same place, and since she was the only adult, she didn't want to keep on stopping. When we arrived, we found Michael, and gave him his lunch. Then Johnathan and Michael played on the playground from 10:30-11:45. They had kites, football, Frisbee, soccer, bubble, baseball, etc. for the kids to do. Then at 11:45 everyone ate lunch, played for a few minutes after lunch, and then everybody walked back to the school.
Then Johnathan and I came home, finished putting Josh's care packages together, and took them to the post office. He has sure been expensive this pay day. But well worth it, because I love and miss him sooooo.. much.
That was about all that happened today. I forgot to mention the other day, that on Monday night around 10 p.m, I realized my college classes started again. So, yesterday, I started to work on them. And that is what I'm getting ready to do now.
Thinking of my husband, like always, missing him tons, hoping he knows how much we love and miss him, Praying for his Safety, and hoping this time apart from the man I love so much, goes by fast!

2 Months since I last saw my Husband.....
DAY 62-
Today has been the two months since I last saw my husband entering the door, and I last saw his back. That was the last thing I remember of the day. Two months with out my husband, being able to hold and have him in my arms. It has been 2 months since I have been able to look into my husbands eyes, and grab his hands. I miss him dearly. Already I'm ready, 2 months in, for this deployment to be done. I hate that they are keeping my husband so busy, that It is days until I hear his voice. I miss having him around. Being able to watch movies or t.v with him after the kids go to bed. That after I shut the door to their rooms, I can look down and see him sitting on the couch waiting for me.
But yet, with this long two months that have gone by, two months of the deployment are done. Behind us, that we never have to worry about those two months again. We are two months closer to having him here with us again. And I cannot wait until more time passes by, and he is here with us. I'm still taking it one day at a time, but yet counting down every single day until I can see him again!
Today, getting through another day without him, Johnathan was off to his last day of Pre School, for this school year, on his last bus ride to school. Then I took the older two to school. After I dropped them off I ran to Walmart I needed to get Strawberries, because Johnathan was having a luau at school.
When I was driving home from Walmart, I heard a familiar ring tone. Every time that Josh has called from the odd numbers they use, and he calls my cellphone, I save it under his name on my phone. So, as I was driving, I heard his motorcycle ring tone, looked at my phone, and saw his face. This touched my heart dearly. Even though I have been saving these numbers in my cellphone, whenever he calls, he usually calls the house phone instead. This was the first time that I had heard his ring tone and saw his face appear on my phone in 2 months. Since he was actually here, and able to use his own cellphone. It made my day. Especially not being able to talk to him for a week. We were able to talk for 20 minutes, then he needed to get off and eat. But, the 20 minutes meant a lot to me. Especially not knowing when I will be able to talk to him again.
After we were done talking I was off to Johnathan's preschool for the last day. They had a LUAU. The kids were able to eat things such as, strawberries, lunch meat, cookies, cupcakes, rolls, etc.. Then they went to 4 different classrooms, in which each classroom, had 2 games in it. After each classroom they got a prize. We then went outside to play for a little bit. I was so afraid he would throw a temper tantrum to leave. For awhile he was playing with a tractor nicely, and then disappeared. I looked up, and he was heading to the gate, ready to leave. I just followed his lead. I was also in shock though that he was ready to go, when all of the other kids were still playing. Then it was time for him to say goodbye to his teacher, he only had a month and a half, and then we left.
I took him home, instead of him riding the afternoon bus, since I was at the school. When we arrived home, and I was carrying some stuff in, I heard his bus. Next thing, I looked up, and his bus was turning on our court. Johnathan is the only child on our Court that rides that bus. They stopped by our house because they were sad, the bus driver and assistant, that they weren't able to say bye to him. So, they stopped by to say bye, and gave him a piece of candy, and key chain bus. I thought that was very, nice, kind, and sweet of them. It meant a lot.
After we finished lunch, we were on a mission. I needed one last thing for Josh's care package, on Fort. We ended up going to three different places (and one last night) to look for this item. Finally, third place today we found it. And it will be mailed in his care package tomorrow.
When the kids got home from school, we went to pick up Elizabeth's birthday pictures to add in the care package. Since those came in later today, that is why his care package is being sent tomorrow. I wanted to make sure those were added to this care package.
Then we were off to the Airplane Restaurant to in some ways celebrate, that we have accomplished 2 months missing Josh, but yet are 2 months closer to seeing him. It is a milestone for us. And we will continue going to different restaurants on the 18th of every month to continue with the milestone. It also gives us something to look forward to every month, knowing that once we get to that point every month, we are a month closer. I took some pictures of us today to, so we can also have those.
Elizabeth is still not understanding about why daddy isn't coming home right now. And why she can't see him, where his is, and why he can't have dinner with us. It is so sad having to explain to a 6 year old that daddy is working far away, and that it is going to be awhile until we can see him again.
Once we arrived home it was bath time, Prayer time, Bible time, and bed time.
I just wanted to end this with something to Josh,
We love and miss you soo.. much Josh!! We can not wait until these next 4 and something month go by, and we can have you home for your "vacation home". We cannot wait until your here with us again. We hope that this entire deployment goes by fast! We love and miss you with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls, until we see you again soon! Stay Safe!!!!!

The garage controller has been found..
DAY 61-
Well, today was yet another strange day in the household. As I was getting ready today, a toy kept on making noises. Even when the sound was turned off. And then when I was heading out to get gas, pick Johnathan up a half hour early, and go get my results for my CT from last week, I decided to fix Josh's sunshade in his truck. Then something told me that I need to look between the seats of his car. Guess what, the controller was there, clipped to his road atlas. Last week, the truck was searched 3 times over, by 2 people. It was not there.
Yesterday when I arrived home from Church the entire truck was unlocked. I really don't know what is going on. I just know, it is very strange. At least I have it now, and it's in hiding.
Then today after picking Johnathan up, I went and got my CT results. Which were none, whatever this thing is on the side of my neck, in which you can feel, and it hurts, is just one big mystery. It is not showing up on any scan. I was crying tears of frustration on the way home. The Doctor was even like, "there is no ridge on the other side". So, I'm back at square one now. He said he was going to blow the scan up, and look closer. Then call me back this week. Now I have to wait.
We went to Walmart tonight, and picked up a few things for Josh's care package. I will be sending it off tomorrow. Still waiting for my handsome hubby to call me, he must be very busy!

I met a Follower.....
DAY 60-
It says, today is day 60, but really It is not 2 months until the 18th, on Tuesday!
Well, yesterday at the Wings For Women Military Spouse Conference I met one of my followers, with out realizing it. How funny is that. I was talking to her, and three other ladies, first thing yesterday morning before the conference started. I didn't know it was one of my followers, until she pointed it out on my last blog. And yes, I do remember talking to her. What a small World this is. I didn't realize I had many followers located right here in Colorado.
Today the kids and I went to Church. It was a great service today. Then we came home, and I took a nap. I had a headache since last night. And it didn't go away until this afternoon.
Because of the horrible headache, not much else happened today. I had lots of things that needed to be done, for example, clean house. But, when I couldn't even move with out feeling sick, I had to lay down. I was so happy when by dinner time it was gone.
It has been a few days since I last spoke with Josh. Honestly, I really don't remember the last day I talked to him was. I'm going to have to go and check on my blog and see. I hope he is able to call soon, I sure do miss him tons. And of course, I love him too, with all of my heart, mind, body, and soul!
(I just checked, it has been since Tuesday, 5 days ago since I last talked to my husband, no wonder why it seems like so long, so hopefully with in the next couple of days I will get to talk to him!)

Wings for Women Military Spouse Conference...
DAY 59-
Today, like any other day, which it seems to be a tradition when my husband is gone, something always has to go wrong. What was it today you ask? Well, today I set the alarm for 5:45 a.m, I needed to get up, and get the kids and I ready, and head out the door at 6:45 a.m. Well, guess what, the alarm didn't go off, and I woke up on my own at 6:43. Wonderful I thought. Thankfully the Wings for Women Military Conference didn't start until 8. But still, I was rushing around getting the kids ready, and myself. And then getting cereal put in baggies to go. I then had to climb the ladder in my heels in order to plug the garage thing back in, pull the car out, then go back in close the garage door, and unplug it!
I was trying to hurry up and get to our destination. I was driving safely. But, all of a sudden I hear from the back, back seat, "Mommy, are we entering in a Race??"
I thought it was so funny, I had to laugh at myself. But, really, no, mommy was not going that fast, Elizabeth.
We made it safely to our destination, and I thought I would be the last parent to drop the kids off. I walk into the room, and no other kids have arrived yet. Even though we were 45 minutes late by this time, (to the 7:00 a.m time I wanted to arrive, and when the childcare opened) we were still the first ones. As I was walking to the meeting room, other parents were then arriving with their children.
Even after arriving at that time, I still had time to grab a bite to eat (the kids were eating when I left). Then the conference for today started. They gave away door prizes, I was not a lucky one this conference, maybe next time. But, the ladies that did win got great things such as, a free massage (sounds so nice), a purse organizer thing, and the grand prize was either a 1 or 2 night stay, and the place the conference was being held. (I don't remember how many days it was). For this one, I was silently saying, please be me over and over again to myself. This would have been great for Josh and I over his R and R. Oh well, it wasn't meant for us, and God knows that the person that did get this one, really needs it. Many other prizes were also given out, to many to list.
We had Christian Worship singers also. They did and amazing job singing. The singer to waste time at the very end of the day broke out in a rap so, it was great, and very funny.
Today we also had what they call are break out workshops. Which are smaller groups talking about everything from finances, to surviving deployment, marriage, to children. I learned a lot of great things today, from the break out sessions, and the over all experience today. I also got to meet a few new nice ladies. And I also knew two ladies, one in charge of our Military Ministry at Church, and one from a facebook group I was on.
We had a great lunch today also. I hadn't ate that much for lunch in awhile. We had a salad, then lasagna, with a piece of bread, and then dessert. The food was so delicious. And I sure was full. But it was all worth it. At different times they would have snacks also set up, like fruits, vegetables, and brownies and have juice to drink.
Some more keynote speakers spoke in the regular part of the conference, such as about Prayer, how to live a delicious life, and how to get help for the soldier with possible PTSD, or family members that might need the help. A big thing was to avoid suicide with the soldier from all of the traumatic things the soldier has been through.
I cannot wait until next years conference, if you have any questions about the Wings for Women Military Conference, in which they are trying to expand to other places, just email me. They are also on facebook.
While coming home, Johnathan started choking. I was trying to get off the road as safely, and as soon a possible. I even turned into a driveway that was going out instead of in, so I could hop out and take care of him. Thankfully, I got everything taken care of, and gave him so water to drink, and he was okay. But, I was scared for a couple minutes, until I could find that spot to pullover.

Super Creepy....
DAY 58-
Well today I had my hair done. It was a nice break, and I had friend watch Johnathan for me. It took about 3 hours. But it needed done! It was over grown, and faded. Really, it was bad. Glad it is all better now!
While heading back to my house, I was on the street in front of the driveway, and I noticed the garage door was open a little. I pulled up, parked the car, looked up and it was closed. I then backed out of the drive way, and it opened again. So, very creepy, I was not touching the garage door. I called my neighbor to see if her son was home, they weren't she told me get away from the house, and they would be back in a minute. They then went over through the house to make sure no one was inside. When they went by the house, the garage door was closed (remember when I backed out, it was open).
Yesterday, when I drove Josh's truck, I noticed the garage door opener was missing. I thought maybe it was on the floor somewhere and I couldn't find it. So, with this happening today, and hearing the neighbor across the street got some stuff stolen out of their truck, I knew it was stolen. And it sure seemed like someone was playing with the garage door opener. I then called the renters office, they will be out on Monday. He told me to unplug it from the ceiling, So I can't even use it. And then I called the sheriff to report it.
I was waiting and waiting for the sheriff to arrive, I had somewhere I had to be tonight. I called one time to cancel, she said he was on his way not to far. I waited and waited some more, he was not here, I was calling to cancel it this time, and he pulled up. Since I had to be somewhere, he said I could report it online.
Well, I took his card (Elizabeth for some odd reason said she like him, she was buckled in the car, and didn't talk to him). We headed to our Wings for Women Military Conference. A little while after arriving there, I ended up with a message from the sheriff. He said at 2:00 p.m today, (which was about the time this was happening at the house), they changed the rules. Cases like this couldn't be reported online anymore, and that he will have to come back out. Very strange, why did they just change it at 2 today?
So, we had a great time at the Wings for Women Military Conference, I got a very cute re-usable bag, with brochures, note pads, etc. They had someone sing Christian music, and had guest speakers. We even got to eat chips, with salsa, sour cream, and other stuff. The kids got a snack. And the kids were in a separate part, all together. We left at 9:15 tonight, and have to be back at 7:00 in the morning. Means we have to get up at 5:30. So, time to get off and take a shower, and time to hit the hay.

Today was not a good day, at all!!!!
DAY 57-
The day was first starting out smoothly. The little girl I babysat yesterday, and then today showed up, and Johnathan was in a good mood from eating, and then playing when he got on the bus. I guess now on the afternoon bus, Johnathan buckles himself, so cute. He will not let the "helper" do it for him. And if she tries, he throws a temper tantrum. He doesn't do this on the morning bus. Michael finished lunches early, socks, shoes, jackets and back packs were on. It was time to take the older two to school.
Well, I went to open the garage to drive my SUV. I hit the garage door button, it opened just to a point where someone could crawl under it and stopped. I hit it again to make it go down, it wouldn't! I tried one last time to see if it would go up. It wouldn't it was stuck. I had no time to mess with it, I was holding a 1 year old, and had to get the other two to school Good thing Josh's truck was out front so I cold drive that. I got them in the car, buckled the baby in, adjusted the care seat to fit her right, and we were off. I dropped the kids off, and made it back home as fast as possible.
I automatically came in the house with the baby, and called the place we rent from. They were out here about an hour later. Thankfully our maintenance guy was working on a house not to far away. It ended up being some crazy thing on the garage door jamming it. It was thankfully an easy fix for him, but something I would have not know anything about. To me, it was just telling me for some reason that I was suppose to drive Josh's truck today. It had trapped my SUV in the garage.
When that was all done and taken care of, I still had a very fussy baby the rest of the day. Even while she was changed, held, and fed. Which by the way, it was cute today. I was feeding her lunch, I decided I wanted a hair thing from the downstairs bathroom, just steps away. I sat her food down. And went to grab my hair thing. When I came back, Johnathan had picked up the bowl and was gently feeding her, it was the cutest thing. I took pictures. He was saying, "Here baby." Yesterday Elizabeth had carefully fed her. I stood by both and watched and was helping also, and making sure they were careful.
Anyways, the baby continued to cry all day long, and the older two came home. Then about the time the dad of the baby was suppose to pick her up, the guy in charge of the place we rent from called me on my cellphone. As soon as I had a chance to hear the message, because I was dealing with a crying baby, and 3 kids, someone knocks at the door. Babies dad maybe? Nope! It was the guy that we rent from, in charge of the company. When we had our spring inspection two weeks ago, we had things that need to be repaired. He just happened to be in the neighborhood, and came to check out what needs to be repaired. At least were on the calendar to get them fixed on May 24. I forgot to say, at this time I was waiting for the dad to show up, and I was also finishing up dinner for the kids.
Well, her dad came at this time, of course. And so I had to stop talking to the renter guy for a minute, go answer the door, and help carry things from the last two day to the car. I said my goodbyes, and they left. Then the renter guy left a few minutes later, after scheduling when they would be back out.
I was trying to get the kids fed, to leave right after the baby left. They needed haircuts, all three of them. My husband had showed me how to shave the boys head before he left, but I'm honestly not good at it. I had him there that day to fix my mistakes. And the boys were looking shaggy, and Elizabeth's hair over grown.
So, we went to Walmart to get haircuts for them. Michael did good of course. Then it was Elizabeth. The entire time, she was saying, "that hurts", over and over again. And just not being good! And the boys weren't listening either. After Elizabeth was done I checked my cellphone for the time. We still had time for Johnathan's hair to be cut before we had to be at 7:00 p.m wrestling. Johnathan was good also. The stylist put mousse on a mirror for Johnathan to play with. He kept on taking it and putting it in his hair, it was funny.
Then it was time to pay, buy dog food, milk, cereal, juice, and coffee creamer. We checked ourselves out, and then we were off to wrestling, just a few minutes early.
When we got out of the car, went down the stairs, back up more stairs, back down some, and then up some more stairs (yes it is very strange like that), we found out the coach was sick and went home early. Hmm, Yes I know the coach was sick, he couldn't help that. But, could he have given numbers to one of the Seniors or something to call and cancel? It was a pain taking 3 kids in. I hope we get half of our money back, we had to pay $50, for this, and he has cancelled for some reason or another half of the time, last week, this week, and next week! Then Elizabeth was throwing a temper tantrum when we left. I just wanted to leave!
Of course when we arrived home, mommy had enough for one day. They put their pajamas on and were automatically put in bed after Praying. I hope tomorrow goes a lot better then today, we have fun things planned.

We woke to the bus honking...
DAY 56-
Today started out as a crazy day, the first time I woke up it was to the sound of the garbage truck. I was thinking, just great, I forgot to put the trash out, last night, or this morning. Thankfully, we have an awesome trash guy who took the trash and recycling out to the street (he has done this on previous occasions also).
Then I fell back asleep, about 45 minutes later I woke to a bus honking. Today, my older two didn't have school today, because of teacher in service day. So, I assumed since my sons pre school is in an elementary school, and they are teachers, that they wouldn't be in school either. Boy was I wrong. The bus then left, and I woke up, ran to the kids rooms told them to get dressed, and got Johnathan dressed. Of course I got dressed during this time also. I then put some cereal in a baggie, had everyone put shoes and jackets on. We then took Josh's truck to take Johnathan to pre school. The school was empty, besides the pre schoolers. It was a little creepy to me not having the kids in the school. So, the kids and I walked him to his class, and the the three of us left.
When we arrived home the lady that I was babysitting her daugher, had already arrived and was waiting in the driveway. Thankfully she was early, and I was not late. So, today I babysat all day, and had my older two here. It wasn't a bad day at all. And everyone was good. I will be babysitting again also tomorow.
I got to see Josh for a split second tonight, it was on, then it was off. So, I really didn't get to see him to well. Hopefully another time.

365, 182.5, 30, 14, 1....
DAY 55-
Your probably wondering what all of these numbers are about. It's how I break up a deployment in order to help it go by faster.
365- How long a typical deployment is
182.5- 6 months, and a half of a day, usually until "the vacation home", that your spouse will take.
30 days- of course a month, in order to get to the half way point of a deployment, which takes us to the end of the deployment, you have to take it one month at a time.
14 days- The two weeks from pay day to pay day. When you receive the money to buy food, and care packages for your loved one. Which helps the 30 days go by faster, meaning usually 2 pay days.
1- and the best thing that you can do it take it one day at a time, keeping busy each day in order to make it through until the end of the deployment.
Deployments are not an easy thing, being way from the one that you loved. Breaking it up like this helps the time go by a little faster for me. I just have to continue staying busy, taking it one day at a time, until the 2 week mark of the "pay check coming in", which by the time you make it through about 2 of those, then it will about be a month. Then once your through that month, you have a month down, and you can look forward to that half way point. Once your at the half way point, you know you made it half way through a deployment, and that is when time will go faster, and you loved one will be home, at least until the next deployment. When your doing this all over again.
Today I spent the day doing laundry. Always seems to add up fast with 4 people. Then all of the kids came home from school and we had leftovers for dinner. Michael informed me that they don't have school tomorrow. Nice! not! I'm babysitting, but it will be fine because I use to have my own daycare and watch 6 all together then.
I got to talk to my husband for 20 minutes tonight. It was a nice surprise, it had only been 3 days, which on average it seems it was about 5. Due to him being busy. I was glad I was able to hear his voice tonight. Hearing his voice is another way of helping this deployment also go by fast!

Dreaming, out loud....
Our 8th Anniversary in 2009

DAY 54-
This morning after all three of the kids were off to school, I had a CT Scan. I really hope that this one will have results, and I can get answers to see if it is a parotid-salivary gland growth. Last time I had a CT Scan, and an MRI, they didn't have any results because I was told it was behind the shadow of my ear. This time my head was tipped back more, I really hope that helps.
It was a year ago, 2 days before Mother's day that I went in for Surgery. They couldn't figure out what was wrong with me, and the only way they could tell, was to have surgery. They ended up removing a lymph node. (My new Doctor doesn't even know why they did that, there are no lymph nodes located around the growth). After healing up from surgery and going in for my post-op I still felt the growth. Nothing changed. I was frustrated. They told me it was because it was swollen, and were having me come back in every month to check. I knew it was the same, I can feel the mass, by touching, and with in my body. Finally, they realized it was still there, and I was to do a CT again in Maryland, then we moved. So, because of everything I had to go through in Maryland, it took me awhile to call the Doctor here. (4 months). About 3 weeks ago, I had to call and make a Doctors appt. just to be referred out to a specialist. I then went to the specialist last Tuesday, and today I had already had my CT scan. I will get my results next week. And then, from there, hopefully some answers.
When I arrived home, I spent the rest of the day cleaning up the house. It needed a good cleaning. Then waited for Johnathan and the other kids to come home, really not much else happened. Besides making Chicken Estufau (Guamanian Chicken), and Finadebe Sauce for rice, with corn. One of my favorite meals.
So, now I'm just going to do a little dreaming out loud. Mine and my husband's 10 year Anniversary is next September (2011). We were married when we were 18. Just like any couple who is married, at any age, we had no clue what the future would hold for us. But, just being teenagers, and expecting our first child, we definitely didn't know where our road would take us. We just knew we were in love. So, here it is almost 9 years later (now), and we have 3 children and will be through 4 deployments. I was dreaming about having a 10 year Wedding Vowel renewal Ceremony, and then maybe a mini honeymoon. Nothing big, just a little fancy. Our Pastor had mentioned this "Secret Garden" on Sunday, he showed pictures, it looked so pretty. I thought (just thought of this tonight) that would be a perfect spot for a small ceremony. Something to not only Celebrate many more years to come, but also to Celebrate what we have accomplished from getting married at such a young age, and coming as far as we have today.
A lot of people have divorced after just one deployment. We will make it through four. That is a big deal to make it through that many.. But, like I said it is just dreaming out loud, because I know my husband would NEVER go for something like this. We did have a good Wedding almost 9 years ago. But since we were married 2 weeks after 9/11/01, we didn't know we would spend half of our marriage apart. Well, I guess a girl can dream right?

A lot of people have divorced after just one deployment. We will make it through four. That is a big deal to make it through that many.. But, like I said it is just dreaming out loud, because I know my husband would NEVER go for something like this. We did have a good Wedding almost 9 years ago. But since we were married 2 weeks after 9/11/01, we didn't know we would spend half of our marriage apart. Well, I guess a girl can dream right?

Happy Mother's Day!!!!
DAY 53-
I first wanted to start off by saying Happy Mothers Day to all moms, especially my mom for raising me, and my mother in law, for having Josh, or else I wouldn't be married to him, lol.
Today we started off our day going to Church. They gave the moms that have had a new baby since last mother's day a rose, and then the mothers that are widowed, single moms, or have one deployed a card, in which had a $50 gift card in it.
After Church, the kids and I came home. They gave me the little cards and things they made me. I let them each pick a card for me at Walmart last week. Today, I saw the one Elizabeth picked out, it says, "Mom, Now that I'm a parent myself, I think I know what you went through." and on the inside it says "Hell, Happy Mothers Day". It gave me a good laugh because it is going to be forever until she is a mom, she just turned 6. I didn't look at the card last week because I wanted it to be a surprise. Boy, was it for sure a surprise. Michael also gave me a card, and a key chain he made in class.
Then we went outside to eat lunch. After we were done eating lunch we ran to Walmart to get a few things. When we arrived home I smelt the neighbors food that they were Barbecuing, it smelt so good. Even though he invited us over on Friday, to come today, I really didn't want to intrude. So, I decided to stay home.
All of a sudden I heard my doorbell. I went to the door, and it was my neighbor with a flower plant, and he told me "dinners ready". I thought that was very nice. So, the kids and I went over and ate dinner with them. I finally had the chance to meet his wife, and then I met his daughter, son-in-law, and their two children. Plus, they had a friend over. It was great food, and we even had a good dessert. Something like a baked Alaska? I had never heard of it before, but it is now my favorite! The kids got to go downstairs with their son in law. They played with the WII, air hockey, and Thomas The Train table. Then we noticed Johnathan was all wet for some reason. So, thankfully, living next door, I ran home to get him some pants. When I came back, they had a card sitting next to my dessert that I was finishing. I really thought that was nice. The whole thing, the flower plant, dinner and card meant a lot to me, since I'm away from family here. It turned out to be a great day, with the neighbors help, and of course the presents from the kids.
When we got home, Michael just had to make me this desert he has been wanting to make me since Friday night. I kept on telling him, wait until Mothers Day. It was ice cream, with strawberries and a grape. Interesting, but I ate it. I probably gained a ton of weight today. But it was a great day.
Even though the only family I had around me today, was the kids, which today was what it was about, it turned out to be a fabulous day! I hope all of you moms also had a great day with your kids!

Michael's Last Soccer game was today...
DAY 52-
I really didn't want to get up out of my nice warm, comfortable bed this morning. Or, it was holding me hostage. One of the two. So, I slept in some. Then when I woke up, I made me some coffee, got dressed, and got Johnathan dressed.
We were off to Michael's last soccer game. It was a great game. They won 5-1. Michael played goalie some, and did an awesome job. After the game a dad/ or grandpa of one of the players (really not sure which one he was), gave all the players one dollar. I thought that was very nice. Then all the players sat down and received their medal, and a certificate.
After the game we came home and ate a late lunch outside. We had a half of a tuna fish sandwich, with grapes, strawberries and chips. Then I changed my clothes and went out to wash Josh's truck. I had brought play doh, and side walk chalk, and some other things to keep the kids busy out front. His truck was so hard to wash. I'm only 5'3, so things don't come as easy to me as my husband who is 6'3. I opened the doors and stood at the side of the seats, with one hand holding on for dear life, and the other cleaning the top. I was so afraid I was going to fall off and break a bone. But, I made it safely. And the neighbors who saw me were probably laughing cause I probably looked pretty ridiculous. Well, and least the truck is nice and clean.
Then it was time to wash my SUV, which is typically hard for me also. But, after washing Josh's truck, the SUV was a piece of cake. Mmm, now cake sounds good. Anyways, I didn't clean the insides today because the outsides of the vehicles were looking pretty dirty, and I just wanted to get that done.
After cleaning the truck, and my SUV, I then came inside and washed our 73lb dog, in the bathtub in the basement. He was not going for it at first. I took off his collar, soon realizing, I wouldn't have anything to grab on him to get him in the tub. So, I put it back on him. Then I grabbed the collar, and pulled him towards the tub, well, at least tried. He put on his brakes. I had to use all of my strength, and then some to put his front paws on the tub, and the get his back ones in. Really, I have no clue how I managed that, he is a strong boy. When he got in he was shaking because he was scared. But, thankfully he did good after, and was patient with me. I have never had to give a dog a bath, this was a new experience for me. I was having trouble getting the soap off him, and so I even had to turn the shower on. I was so afraid he would get out and try and run, but I knew it had to be done. He did good, and got a treat after.
Then tonight I gave two of my children baths. I think I'm done cleaning vehicles, my dog, and children for a few days. That was a lot of work!
Tonight when I was starting to write this blog, I got a call from Josh. I was so excited to hear his voice, it has been 6 days since I have talked to him. We got to talk for 21 minutes. He has been busy on missions and such. It is always great hearing his voice, and I had a lot to talk about. Like telling him I cleaned his truck, in which he told me, even it is hard for him sometimes to clean it. Now I don't feel so bad. I hadn't even had the chance until tonight to tell him I had seen a civilian Dr.about my growth, and that I have a cat scan on Monday morning.
Some ladies don't mind the break away from their husbands while they are deployed. Thinking that they can get things done, or do what they want. But, for me, I hate it. I really want my husband home with us. I miss him tons. Yes, there are sometimes I would like a "break", I won't lie about that one, but not for a year, maybe a guys night out for him (or girls night out for me), and then I would be good. I just miss spending quality time with him, and having him here home with us. I miss you Josh, I hope these next few months fly by...

Happy Military Spouse Appreciation Day.....

DAY 51-
I found this on another blog, and thought I would share:
"As a military spouse, you have willingly
packed up and relocated countless times, and sometimes been separated
from parents and other family members for long periods of time.
You have celebrated anniversaries, birthdays and holidays alone. You
have shown great spirit and strength when your active-duty spouse has
gone into harm's way. You, too, have stood watch at home to show your
support and serve your country. "
(All of the above is completely true for this family)
And this is from me,
Being a Military Spouse is a job in it's own, that we don't get paid money, but the love of our Spouse. It is a hard job. Being separated from our Soldier while he/ she is away at War. Worrying every single day about their safety, and living conditions where they are. Missing them, and wanting this separation to go by fast. As well as at home taking care of the bills, cleaning the house, knowing that your not cleaning the house for your spouse to see, but just to clean up after the kids mess. And keeping the children busy, so that they don't have to be reminded every day that their mommy or daddy is gone. Also, we sleep with the phone hoping that this day will be the day that our spouse will not be on mission, and we can talk to them. Even though we may not have talked to them for a few days, and when they do call, they can only call for a few minutes, until next time. And we check emails, facebook, etc. constantly looking for a message left from them, or even a facebook status update, knowing that they are okay. Even though they may not be online that often, were hoping this day will be the day. It may not be easy, and may not be for everyone, but I know I wouldn't trade this life for the World. I love my husband dearly, and I cannot wait until I see him again, 5 months (give or take some) until I can see him again and have him in my arms again. This, will make this ARMY WIFE, very happy! I'm very Proud of my Soldier, my husband. For everything he does for us as a family, and everything he does, and has to give up to serve and Protect Our country. This Army Wife, loves her Soldier with all of her heart, mind, body and soul, and cannot wait until the day I see him again!
Today let's just say, was a very interesting day! We woke up late, and that made the kids late to school. While I was getting in Josh's truck to take them to school, the neighbor came over. He told me he would mow the grass for us in front while Josh is gone. This made my day, I was stressing about this. He did it! Even though one of these days I will do it, today just wasn't my day. After taking them to school I ran to the post office to drop off a netflix. When I came home I talked to the neighbor some more, he invited the kids and I over for dinner on Mother's Day. He has adult children, and then his grandchildren that are coming over, and he invited us to join them. He said he was cooking. I thought this was nice of him.
I just stayed home today, I had more cleaning to do, like always, and calls to make. Which so far, my Cat Scan for my growth by my ear HAS NOT been cancelled. Thank goodness. It's at 9:30 Monday morning. They called today, and I thought it was to cancel, but it was to confirm. I prepared myself while answering the phone for a cancellation. I even told her that. It was pretty funny, I was like wait, I thought you were canceling. She said nope, everything looks good. Thank goodness! Now hopefully this growth gets taken care of a.s.a.p.
When the kids arrived home from school I got a card from Elizabeth, prepare to have a good laugh, she is in kindergarten,
It says,
My Mother is the most wonderful mom in the whole world! She's as pretty as (Johnathan).
She weighs (60lbs) and she's (25ft.) tall.
Her favorite food is (chocolate).
In the good old days when mom was little, she used to, (swim).(something I don't like doing maybe???)
I think mom looks funny when she (eats) (guess I should stop eating, lol)
I wish mom would (go shopping) with me every day.
I wouldn't trade my mother for (toys)
I love it gave me a good laugh today. Michael gave me one also, it said I'm special because I give him meals and take care of him, his favorite thing about me is that I love him, and he loves me, and he thanks me for all of my support. Both very sweet!
Tonight we changed it up a little with our pizza, pajama and a movie! We watched the movie in "Ghost Town", a.k.a "Josh's Man Cave", well it's really the basement. We have hardly been down there since Josh has been gone. When he is here he is always down in his Man Cave. I figured this was something different for us to do. We took Elizabeth's table downstairs from ALL THE WAY upstairs. We live in a 2 story house with a basement. And the kids ate at the table. Then Elizabeth was tired, and became extremely fussy. I think she has started doing this "mommy attachment" since she is realizing more that daddy wont be home for awhile. Every day she talks about daddy, and since she cannot have daddy right now, she is glued to me. I was so ready for bedtime for them.
Well, I hope everyone had an amazing Military Spouse Appreciation Day, even though, Military Spouse deserve to have the day every day! Continue to support your Military loved one, and I will continue supporting my Soldier, now, and forever, and even more now that he is Deployed. I love my Soldier, and cannot wait to see him again.

National Day Of Prayer, an amazing experience...
DAY 50-
Today was another one of those busy days. One thing right after another, first Johnathan on the bus, then dropping the other two off at school while driving the truck. Then it was time to run home and make the shopping list to go to the commissary.
While at the commissary I had a budget of course. I spent $40 dollars less then my budget for food for 8 days. I was proud of myself. This time I included fruits, such as bananas, oranges, strawberries, and grapes. I sometimes pass these up because they are a little more expensive, and I can't usually buy them on my budget. This time, I was like, I will try it and see if my budget allows. And my budget did, somehow. I had my calculator the entire time, adding up every last item I put in my cart. I did good, and was proud of myself.
I left the commissary with what I thought was 25 minutes to spare, by the time Johnathan got home from the school on the bus. As soon as I arrived home I was literally running back and forth from the car, to the kitchen putting cold stuff away. Then Johnathan's bus arrived 5 minutes early. I finished the last couple of bags up, and put those things away right after he arrive home. Then I put Johnathan in the car.
We were off to National Day of Prayer at our Church, it was at noon. This was a really neat, first experience for me. We were outside one a beautiful warm day, with a slight breeze. Well, we started inside first where they sang a song, "Blessed be your name". It sounded great, and when the song was over the crowd of about 25 people went outside. They have different "gates" outside. I was always curious what the 9 of them were. Today I found out. As a group we went around to each gate and Prayed for different things such as local, and national government. The Military, in which they had everybody stand in a circle, and say one persons name that they knew was in the Military. Of course, I ended up being the only spouse, with my 3 year old son there. I lifted up my husband Josh's name to protect over him and keep him safe, along with the other soldiers. Everyone Else's were just people they knew, such as neighbors. I really had to stop myself from tearing up at this gate.
Some other gates were education, Church, and family. While at the family one they had everyone link arms because we are a Church family. Johnathan apparently didn't like this. I was linked up with the lady to my left, while holding his hand to my right, and linked up with a lady. He removed the ladies arm from mine. I have no clue why, makes me wonder what my little 3 year old was thinking. At the last gate they had Praise, in which they ended with an Amazing song, on a gorgeous day outside, It was "Forever". It was just a wonderful experience, that I am glad we didn't miss.
When that was over we came home, ate lunch, and waited for the other two to come home. As I was waiting for them, I was putting Josh's two care packages together. I sent them in the standard rate shipping boxes, and one wasn't quite enough room. After the kids arrive home from school we drove Josh's truck and ran those to the post office. No matter how many times I told the kids to stop, and sit on the bench, they of course wouldn't listen. I was so ready to check out. While waiting in line I notice another lady with 3 boxes, I thought, probably care packages. I asked her, she said yes. And we both noticed it was going to the same place.
Finally, it was time to check out. Thank goodness, before I lost my mind. But, of course the kids finally decided to stand beside me. The guy at the counter was very friendly. He had a cart behind him filled with care packages. I actually asked him, I saw the similar boxes, and he said it was care packages, they get tons all of the time.
When we were leaving, he said the nicest words, he told me, "Your doing a good job", relating to taking care of the 3 kids. That was very nice.
We then hurried home, I heated up left overs from our Cinco De Mayo, burritos last night. Ate really fast, and we were off to Michael's last soccer practice. His soccer practice ended up ending 20 minutes early. Michael said because some of the kids weren't listening. I have a feeling, "some of those kids", included him.
I was going to take the kids back to Church today for the 6:30 p.m National Day of Prayer one. Instead I decided against it because it was starting to get windy, and cold, and looked like it was going to storm. I wanted them to be a be able and experience it, but thought it wouldn't be a good experience for them in that weather.
I just want to end this post today, on National Day Of Prayer, father God that my husband continues to remain safe and out of harms way, and that he knows how much we truly love and miss him, and also for the other soldiers to stay safe and out of harms, way, and that we not forget those that are left behind praying for their soldier, (or any other Military person), AMEN

Happy Cinco De Mayo!!!!!
DAY 49-
Today while the kids were in school, I was sweeping, and organizing some things. Honestly, I'm not that into cleaning like some people are. It takes a lot of effort, some caffeine and music. Then, maybe I'll be in the mood. And it is harder, knowing that I'm not cleaning the house to look nice when my husband comes home. I'm just cleaning, to keep it clean.
I got the cutest card today when Johnathan came home from school. It was a project they made at school. It was a construction paper folded in half, on the front it has I Love You, and hand prints from paint on either side sticking out, then you open it up and it says, this much, with a picture of him holding his arms out. It was precious. He has the cutest smile!
When the kids arrived home we went to the post office. I needed to send mother's day cards off, to both grandmas. And also pick up some boxes to have to send care packages for Josh. I was going to drive my SUV to run these errands. As I was heading to the garage where my SUV is, I had 3 kids telling me, I want to ride in daddy's truck. I had also taken the older two to school this morning in his truck. Well, since they were all saying that, and I knew I need to drive his truck more, I turned around and headed to the front door. Josh's truck is parked out front and so that is why we went to the front door. I'm only going to say this one time, but I'm starting to like driving his truck. The only thing that is hard is backing up in a parking lot. With my SUV it has back up sensors to let you know when your getting close to something. His truck doesn't. Being only 5'3, things are a lot harder for me to see. But I made it, with out backing into things, or people. Thank goodness!
Then we were of to Walmart. We needed to buy food for our Cinco De Mayo meal. We had burritos with hamburger, lettuce, onions, sour cream, salsa, cheese, and tomatoes. Then on the side we had re fried beans, corn, and black beans. It was good, but nice and fattening! I think I need to go on a diet now.
I have a tentative Cat Scan set up for this coming Monday. Our insurance has to approve it first, and that is why it is tentative. If they don't approve it, then I will have to have it done on Fort.
Today was a good day for us, we ate some great food, that I made of course, and we made it though another day without my husband. Continuing to count down until I can have him in my arms again....

Last Official day of Bible Study, for now, and A Doctors appt....
DAY 48-
Today after Johnathan left and dropping the kids of at school, I went to the Church. Today was the last official day of Bible Study for the term. We all went to a place for breakfast called Cokes. It was great food. One of the ladies made a c.d for us that had Christian music on it, for the theme of our Bible Study, "How to be A Confident Women". I thought that was really nice of her.
After Breakfast I came home and saw my neighbor. She asked me if Josh's truck was running yet, it wasn't. So she went and go what I call her "other son", because he is always at the house. He started the truck again for me. I had forgot that I didn't unlock my house yet, and only had one pair of keys with me. I tried getting the key off the key ring, but couldn't get it. So, I sat in the garage for 20 minutes until Johnathan's bus came. Then I went over and turned off the truck and came inside.
As soon as I got inside, I hurried and made Johnathan a lunch, and let Luke outside. It was then time to leave because I had a Doctors appt. It was from my referral a couple weeks ago about the growth by my ear. The Doctor told me today it could be a possible parotid-salivary gland growth. Which means I have to have a CT, and get records from my old Doctor. So, we will see where this goes. All I need to deal with while my husband is deployed. We then came home, and Michael had soccer practice tonight. I was able to drive the truck to his practice tonight. I hope that makes my hubby happy. I will try to drive the darn thing more often. But, I did do my best last time before it died again.
Last night when I was on the computer my son snuck up behind me and said, "Mom, I am wide awake, and ready to go to school." This was at 11 p.m, when he was only asleep for 3 hours. I thought it was the funniest thing ever. Not long after that my daughter had came down and wanted dinner. She fell asleep earlier in the night. So, I gave her something for dinner and she went right back upstairs, to where of all places, my bed!
When I came out of the shower tonight my oldest son had left 3 notes under my door. They were saying Happy Mothers day, that we couldn't wait to give you this, do you miss daddy? yes or no, (of course I do), and We are here to support you. I thought they were the sweetest notes ever!

I still miss you.....
DAY 47-
Seriously, WHY? Does this song, "I still miss you" have to go through my head over and over again. It just brings tears to my eyes. It's just a reminder that it will be awhile until I see my husband again, and when I do next time, it will only be a "vacation home for 2 weeks"? I just really want these next few months to go by fast. I'm so over this deployment, and we are only 47 days into a 365 day plus deployment. I know it sounds like I'm complaining, and to a point I am. But, really, I think I have a right after 3 prior times of having to say "farewell" to my husband on prior deployments. There is a void in my life, where my husband comes in. And no one can fill the void, of missing my husband except for him. So, I'm ready for him to be home. I'm very excited about seeing friends and family at the end of the month, but still, that cannot replace being with the man I love dearly.
We may not be a "perfect couple", but really who is? We have our downs, but make it through them, and mainly have more ups then downs. Hey, I even miss him playing video games in the "man cave". I'm not a fan of video games, but at least I knew he would be here at night when we could spend time together and watch movies. I just have to continue taking this "D" word one day at a time. And continue Praying for my husbands safety, and that he knows how much we love him.
Well, today was our dogs vet. appt. The first one I have ever taken him to. Usually it has been my husband, and well, about a year ago when he was just a little bit of a smaller dog. It was quite the adventure this morning. After I took Johnathan to his bus, I ran inside really fast put on some make up, ran downstairs to get the folder with Luke's information in it. The I came back up, and loaded his huge kennel in the SUV. Well, that was after going out to the garage, and turning the car around and backing it in. Then it was time to hurry and get the other two kids in the car, and load up Luke. I then dropped the kids off at school, and Luke and I headed to his vet. appt.
At first I couldn't find the darn place. I knew she said it was around the PX. So, I am driving around in circles thinking, there aren't many building around here. Why am I not seeing it? So, I turned around and headed back, saw a building I had never seen before, which I don't know how, but that was the one building I was looking for. I was 5 minutes late. I first ran in, to tell them I was there, and sign any papers, etc. Then I ran back to the car to get Luke. First thing first, they wanted him weighed. He had to step up on a scale. This was nearly impossible for me. I really thought I was going to break my wrist today trying to control him. Nobody even tried helping me get him on the scale. So, after a few minutes, I somehow managed to get the big boy on the scale, he weighed 73lbs. The he got a shot, and some other stuff. He was good, but an expensive one, costing me $140 dollars, by the time I left. Thankfully, he doesn't have to be seen for a year. Hopefully my husband will be here then.
When we left, and I was trying to get him back in his kennel, he didn't want to go. He sat down and was like, "I'm not getting in there". Of course he cannot talk, but that was his expression. After I don't know how many times of saying, "kennel up" he finally got in. It was a good thing, because I didn't know what I was going to do. He probably could have pulled me around Fort if he wanted to, because he is so big and strong. But, he didn't thankfully, and we headed to Walmart.
I needed to get a cupcake cake to take to Elizabeth's classroom today, and I wanted to get my eyebrows waxed. Don't worry, I opened the back windows for him, he slept, and I wasn't in the store to long. When I went to look for the cupcake cakes, they didn't have any. I was thinking to myself as I was standing their, "what am I goind to do, get a cake and cut it up, or get 5 packages of cupcakes?" Well, thankfully a lady saw me, and asked me if she could help me with anything. I knew that she wouldn't probably be able to help me but told her anyways, that I was looking for a cupcake cake, and they didn't have any. Right then she said, I have one right here. I was like wow, okay, and what made it even better was it was an adorable butterfly one, which had 30 cupcakes. I needed 27, and usually they have 24. It was like it was waiting for me to come in. I was so excited. I always use the cash register to check myself out. Then I went to use my free coffee thing that I have been holding onto for awhile, and finally it was time to go home, and wait for Johnathan's bus.
While Johnathan and I were waiting to take the cupcake cake in, I had the cupcakes sitting on the counter. For some reason, I had this vision in my head from the Army Wives episode last night when Roland dropped the castle cake. Not long after I was thinking that could happen to the cupcakes, guess what. I heard a plastic container hitting the floor. I looked, but I knew what happened. It was the cupcakes, still in the plastic container, flipped over on the floor. They were safe, plastic container was on them and everything. It was a miracle the cute decorations survived. The only thing that was messed up was the name that I had written on it for Elizabeth. But, I could live with that knowing that they were all okay.
At 2:30 it was time to take the cupcakes in. Johnathan went with me. When I arrived in the classroom I had kids coming up to me and giving me hugs, and talking to me. These were all the ones that missed recess because they didn't do their work. Elizabeth was not in the group. She finished her work, and was actually on her way out to recess holding another little girls had while I was pulling up. Then while I was un loading stuff out of my car, she was playing with 3 other girls. And I saw her running. I never realized she could run so fast. It was good seeing her play with other kids.
When they came in for recess, she helped me pass out the cupcakes. The teacher even let Johnathan sit in a seat of an absent kid, that was nice. Her teacher even passed out the capri suns I had brought. And, the teachers mom was even volunteering, which I found out today, that I think she does this often. I thought this was neat. After Elizabeth handed out the cupcakes, they sang Happy Birthday to her, and let her eat the first bite. Her teacher gave her a birthday sticker, a crown, and a pencil. That sure made Elizabeth's day. When leaving, I saw Michael get on the bus, so I went over to see if he wanted to ride the bus, or go home with me. Either way really didn't matter to me. The bus driver asked him and he said he wanted to go home with me.
At 5:00p.m tonight we went to get Elizabeth's 6th birthday pictures taken. He hair is like mine, if you don't use like a straightener on it, it is hard to fix. That is something that I will have to start. The pictures are going to turn out great though, I cannot wait to have them back. We arrived back home about 6 p.m, and then around 7 p.m, I finally decided to heat left over pizza. By this time Elizabeth had fallen asleep on the couch, and had been awoken by her brother and started to throw a temper tantrum. Until she finally moved herself up to my room, where she is now. She didn't want to eat dinner tonight, because she was so tired, and went to bed at 7, instead of their usual bedtime of 8. Today was like a second birthday for her, so two days of birthday celebrations tired her out.
Well, I have some fun and then some important stuff planned for tomorrow. It helps me to continue taking this "D" Word one day at a time. If I have things planned, then I don't think about feeling lonely. I just cannot wait until the day I have my husband in my arms again to hug, counting down the days until that happens again...

HAPPY 6TH BIRTHDAY, ELIZABETH....
DAY 46-
6 years ago today, our only little girl was born a week early. She was due on Mother's day. She weighed 8lbs, 2 oz, and 21 inches long. I had worked a long shift 1 p.m-10p.m the night before I had her, and then came home, and had to be at work again the next morning of 6 a.m-noon shift. It was add set. As I was getting off work, and driving home, I wasn't feeling right. No contractions, just ill. I arrived at my parents house where Michael, and Josh were. Josh was helping my dad with some stuff outside. Not long after arriving at my parents house I started having contractions that were just a few minutes apart. After spending 3 days in the hospital when I had Michael, I was in no hurry to go in. My mom went outside to tell Josh I was having contractions, and that he should probably go clean up. So, he did, he got in the car and ran home, and came back. Finally, it was time to go to the hospital.
On the way to the hospital, we had to swing by the house to get the camera. When arriving at the gate for the Fort, my contractions were about 3 minutes apart at this time, the gate guard was giving us a hard time, saying the picture didn't look like me. Honestly, with my contractions so close, I really just wanted to punch him and leave. But didn't. When arriving at the hospital I walked up, ended up walking to the wrong side of the floor, found the right place, and was automatically put on the monitors. They told me I had to be on the monitor for 20 minutes before even checking to see how far dilated I was. Well, before 20 minutes was even up my water broke, Josh threw me into a wheel chair, and several people ran down to the room where Elizabeth was born. 4 hours, 23 minutes after even starting to show signs of labor, she was born. It was fast. I was the talk of the hospital for the night.
For some reason I had forgot, on Fathers day of that year, Josh left for his second deployment. Elizabeth was only 6 weeks old. (I did remember she was 6 weeks old). And here we are, 6 years later, on Josh's 4th deployment.
Today was a busy day for us. First, we started off by going to Church from 11-12:30. It was a good service today like always. Then we left and went to Chuckie Cheese to Celebrate Elizabeth's birthday. Since, I did the same thing with the boys, I wanted to keep it even. We spent an hour and a half at Chuckie cheese, after eating and the kids playing the games using their tokens. When we turned in our tickets the kids had 110, the girl in charge ended up letting them have a rocket thing, which was 100 tickets each. I told her, we only had 100, and she said that was okay, she was letting them each take one. They weren't even looking at them because they knew they didn't have enough tickets. But, were very happy they were able to have one. I took plenty of pictures so daddy could see them.
After leaving Chuckie Cheese we had a 2 year olds birthday to go to, who's daddy is also deployed. We stayed there from 3- after 7 p.m. It was fun, and nice hanging around other adults. His mom was nice and bought Elizabeth a gift, in which Elizabeth is sleeping with tonight.
After leaving that party, we came home. I called Josh's mom back because she had called earlier and I missed her call. Elizabeth was able to talk to both grandma's tonight, my mom, and Josh's mom. Then I wrapped Elizabeth presents. We sang Happy Birthday, ate cake, and she unwrapped her presents. Then it was time for bed. Not long after she got in bed, daddy called. I was so happy for her that she was able to talk to daddy. Every time I touched the phone today she would think it was daddy, and say, "I love you daddy". So sad, she really misses him. I was also happy I got to hear my husbands voice again tonight. We were on the phone with him for 16 minutes before he had to get off.
Last night when I was writing my post, I heard like someone getting water from my fridge water, it was creepy knowing the kids were in bed and I'm right here on the computer. I looked over, and saw the funniest thing. Our dog was using his paw, and drinking the water from it. I can't believe how smart that is. It was because our oldest forgot to get him water, so he helped himself. I wish I would have taken a picture of this.
Hopefully I'm able to get some better sleep tonight. When I was going to bed last night Michael came out of his room and told me he had a nightmare, daddy was shot and killed. I told him daddy is okay, that he just happened to be on facebook really quick not long before and left a status update. I let him know it was probably because he misses daddy, and that daddy, and mommy love him very much. Then, I went to my room, Prayed, and cried myself to sleep. Those things are always on the very back of your mind, but having to hear your child say they have a nightmare of it, that is very hard. Not long after falling asleep, I hear screaming, and a knock at my bedroom door. Elizabeth had another nightmare. Before these last 3 days, this was not normal, but now every night for 3 days, she has had one. I just don't know what it is.
Today was a great day today, spending Elizabeth's 6 birthday with her, and hearing my husbands voice. Every day I still truly miss my husband and wish that he was able to spend these moments with us. Until then, I cannot wait to see him again.

MilSpouse Blog Hop
DAY 45-

Hey everyone, I am participating in the MilSpouse Blog Hop,
hosted by, Riding the Roller Coaster.
My name is Alicia, I am an ARMY WIFE, and mother of three children, 2 boys a one girl, ages, 8, 6 (tomorrow), and 3. My husband is currently on his 4th deployment to Iraq. We just moved to Colorado in December, and he deployed in March. My blog is what it is like to raise 3 children, in a new place, while he is on his 4th deployment. It will take you through our daily lives back home waiting for him, good and bad, join the crazy ride and become a follower!
My husband and I have been married for 8.5 years. We met in High School, our Senior Year, and dated the entire Senior year. We then got married 3 months after Graduating, September 29th, 2001. He then left for Basic training 2 weeks after we were married. I have been an Army Wife the entire marriage. And I am VERY PROUD, of my Soldier!!!
Today my oldest son had his second to last soccer game. It was at 10 a.m, and was a beautiful day. Today was my day to bring drinks, but because of my crazy day yesterday, and yesterday being pay day. I had not bought them yet. So, here today at 9:40 a.m, once I was able to get all three kids out of the house, we were running into Walmart to buy drinks, batteries for my camera, and something to eat for me. We barely made the start of the game. But were okay. Today, the team only had one back up player. And again, the other team had several. So, our poor little players had to play almost the entire time. They all probably slept well tonight.
After the game we ran back to Walmart. I needed to buy some other things, such as Mother's Day cards, and stuff for my husbands care package. When I finished picking out Mother's day cards, and was leaving from the aisle, my oldest son said, "Mommy we want to buy you a Mother's day card", I in no way made him, or anything. I told him, that was okay, mommy didn't need one, but he really wanted to. So, I told him, I would stand at the end of the aisle, while they all agreed on one. And that they shouldn't show me until Mother's day. So, they did. Then it was off to get stuff for the care package. In which, I will not say what I bought on here, just in case my husband reads this. I like to leave his care packages a surprise for him. That way he has something to look forward to.
While leaving Walmart, a Church was having a bake sale. I felt bad, we already passed them up 3 times today. So, I had only $2.00 cash, and was going to donate to them. My kids saw all the great treats on the table and wanted to take them all. I knew that I had $2.00, and was trying to get them to get something small. They ended up giving us 6 cupcakes, I really felt bad, and told them that was okay, because that was the only cash I had. They let us have them anyways. I also knew that we just bought cake, and ice cream for tomorrow, when it's my daughters 6th birthday.
When we came home we at a sandwich I bought at Walmart. One of the bigger ones, that you cut up and serve. My husband likes to buy these. And we ate potato salad. It was a good lunch. Then I took a nap. I was tired. Not much else happened today, but I know tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. I will let everyone know what were doing in tomorrows blog. Until then, stay safe my handsome husband! We love and miss you with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls!

Then I took a nap. I was tired. Not much else happened today, but I know tomorrow is going to be a very busy day. I will let everyone know what were doing in tomorrows blog. Until then, stay safe my handsome husband! We love and miss you with all of our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls!
