DAY 184~
My attempt at a yard sale today after the older two kids went to school, was a complete failure! We sold nothing, so I think I closed up shop around 11 a.m. I figured not many people were coming and so no need to waste any more time on it. Little man and I then took a walk to take down the signs, and ended up talking to a neighbor on the next street for awhile. She is really nice. Then we came home.
After I fixed my hair I took a nap because I was tired. We have been very busy lately, and it just caught up with me. Not long after I woke up the older two were home.
It was then time to clean some on the basement again. I worked some on the basement floor getting misc. things cleaned up, and some organizing of the closet. It's not perfect like Mr. will get it, but still looks better. I have a couple projects planned out for each day to get accomplished before he is on his "vacation home", that way I'm not overwhelming myself with to many things to do right before he gets home. Most likely though, I will be overwhelming myself trying to accomplish something, it just does always end up that way.
We were then off to my friends house. Once we arrived we ended up going to Walmart. She needed to return something and then pick something up. It worked out because I needed milk and bread. Then we returned back to her house. She made sloppy joes for dinner tonight, one of my favorite foods. She also did a wonderful job highlighting my hair for me. I don't think she even knows how much that means to me because it saved me a lot of money. I'm glad the grow out of my hair isn't showing as nearly as bad. No pictures of me though for a bit though, because I want my husband to see me when he gets off the airplane and into the airport. I always like it to be a surprise, for that "special moment", after not seeing him in person for over 6 months, once we are able to see him. It's getting closer and we are very excited.
Not long after my friend did a wonderful job highlighting my hair, the kids and I had to head home since it was late. They were getting very sleepy and tired. Since it is 1 a.m, and we have a busy day ahead of us "today", I guess I should head to bed too.
What would you do if your husband was deployed 4 times and you were left to raise the children for a year at a time? And moved 3 times in 4 years.Could you do it? This is OUR story of how We have survived 4 deployments and 3 moves in 4 years. Come read our Journey and how is is to be an Army Family.
