DAY 174~
As you all probably know by now, Josh will be here for his "vacation home" this month, but that is all I can tell because of OPSEC. Every day that passes by, make that weeks, that pass by, we are yet another day/week closer to seeing him. It is so close, but yet so far away. It is so close, that every day I get more and more excited, imagining what it will be like when he comes up the hallway at the airport, and we see him, and I, can touch him, after at this time not seeing him for almost 6 and a half months. I can only imagine!
But yet, it is still far enough away, that if I cleaned my house spotless, like I want to try and get it to look, no way in heck it would stay that clean when he arrives home. I cannot wait until the final count down days when I can really start cleaning the house, knowing that he will be home in a short amount of days, if only for two weeks. He will be home with us, where he belongs. This all brings tears to my eyes. I cannot wait! The best Anniversary Present I will have this year, is my husband in my arms, where he belongs, and this is all this lady needs!
Today, We woke up at 7:37 a.m. Darn alarm! As you probably figured out, we missed the 8:06 bus, and I took the kids to school, after making their lunches. We did my the bus, but they weren't late to school! Little man didn't have preschool so he was home all day with me.
When little man and I got back, I ate breakfast, and then spent the rest of the day getting ready, cleaning the kitchen, and working on laundry. Later on during the day I finally went and paid for Michael's soccer. Since we are late, his school's team is full, and he is playing for another school. Oh well, at least he gets to play. And you can't tell which school is which whey they wear shirts with the districts name on them, but all different colors. I guess this is away for him to make new friends. I hope he is still able to enjoy soccer.
When I was grabbing the cash to pay for the soccer, at the gas station mini mart, little man saw a magazine that said, "Mustangs and Fords", he grabbed it and stuck it under his arm. He was soooo..... excited. He thought he was going to get it. But mommy didn't have 5 dollars to spend on it, :( Like father, like son, his daddy loves Mustangs, and he loves Fords!
Then I came home and headed right over to the bus stop to get those two. When we got home I started dinner, we had curry tonight. Michael and I LOVE eating curry, it's one of our favorite foods. We did our normal bedtime routine, and I'm skipping my homework tonight, it is okay to skip 2 days a week. Usually I try to do my homework every night regardless, I'm just to tired tonight. And oh yeah, for one of my classes, I got a 100% for 5 weeks in., I hope I keep this up for the last 3 weeks of the class. Time to head to bed now, I'm tired!
I can't wait to see my hubby this month, can't believe it has been 5 and a half months since I have physically looked him in the eye (not on Skype), touched his arm, hugged him and kissed him. I can't wait to see him! This time until we see him cannot go by fast enough. I start our days out saying loudly how many days it is until we see daddy telling the kids, and end the night saying loudly how many days it will be when they wake up in the morning. Anxiously awaiting seeing my husband!

Labor Day...
DAY 173~
Today to Celebrate Labor day, the kids and I went to a Parade with a friend and her boys. We had a great time. I really appreciated our friend for inviting us, and then bringing drinks, and snacks also! Plus we ended up with lots of candy that the ones in the parade were giving out. We also go to see my friend son in the Parade for JROTC, the kids really enjoyed saying that they knew someone in the parade.
When the parade was over I followed my friend to the park. It took forever because traffic was really bad. Not nearly as bad as last night. But, a lot of people were trying to get from the parade to the park. They had vendors and such set up at the park, but the kids and I had no money to spend, so we spent time walking around, and they played at the playground. Then it was time to go.
The kids and I then came home and ate a late lunch. I ended up taking a nap as they watched cartoons, I was right on the couch. I started not feeling so well, and I need to fight it, I can't afford to get sick. When I woke up it was dinner time, we had breakfast for dinner tonight.
The kids are in bed after our bedtime routine, and my homework is complete for the night. It's time for me to head to bed.

The roller coaster day...

Today was just one of those days. It started out great, continued to be great, started to end badly, got a little worse, and then ended out great. It is just like riding the roller coaster of emotions. This is not only normal for every human being, it is even more typical for an Army wife, with a deployed husband.
It started off my day going and volunteering at Church today. I helped out in the "walkers" age group. It was fun, but only three little ones showed up, and we had three adults. Which equals- one adult to one little walker. When their parents service in Church was over, it was time for me to go to my normal 11 service. My kids stayed in their Church Classrooms today for two services, so I could volunteer. This will probably start to be a normal thing for them on Sunday now. When I told them it wold start to be normal for them, they got excited.I decided to volunteer, because I'm an able body, who can volunteer. And because I had my own daycare before, and I have 3 kids, I have experience with the kids. I also met another lady today why volunteering, who teaches dance. All the songs are Christian songs the kids dance to. I think that is awesome, I might try and get Elizabeth involved with this next month after Josh returns back to Iraq, :( It is only 30 dollars a months, I think that is not that bad of price. I like how it is all Christian music that they perform to, I think that is a really cool thing.
After Church today, we came home and ate lunch. When we were done we got ready, and then headed to the pool. The three kids and I stayed at the pool today for a little over and hour. It seemed a lot longer then that since it was just the 4 of us (and of course all of the other people at the pool, but just the 4 of us hanging out). We had to go, because we needed to come home and eat dinner then head to the balloon glo. In which at a park here, they light up hot air balloons for a couple hours during the night, Labor Day Weekend.
Upon arriving home, I hurried and gave the younger two baths, got them ready, and had my oldest take a bath. When that was finished, I hurried and heated up canned chili, with cup up turkey hot dogs in it. We were in a hurry because we were meeting a friend at the balloon glo. I had to take a shower after I ate and finish getting ready.
Then I texted my friend and let her know we were on our way. Well, we looked for about 2 hours and NEVER found Parking. It was horrible. There were so many people around, I looked everywhere. People were parked WAY out. I would look a ways out, and then that would be my cut off point I wouldn't look past that point. For one, I didn't have my husband with me, I feel safer when he is around, especially at a night event, and two, I needed to be able to find my car when it was done. We continue to drive around until it was time for them to light the balloons up, so we could at least see them. I still looked for a spot and never found one, we went home. I don't plan on going back next year, because there were just way to many people around, which made it for a horrible experience.
Then we came home, did Prayer time with the younger two because my oldest went to bed. my youngest tore of the chain for when daddy is coming on his vacation home.
I did get to talk to Josh tonight, which was nice. We talked for 23 minutes, it had been a little over a week since he has been able to call. So,that is why it went from a good, to a bad, back to a good day.
My "big assignments" for my class are completed, and now I'm very tired, off to bed now, goodnight!

I Laughed, I Cried, I Had A Mom's Night Out.....
DAY 171~
We got to sleep in some today, doesn't happen that often. At least until 9:30. I was suppose to babysit today, until it got canceled a half hour before they were suppose to be here. It worked out though.
I spent some time on my phone. Since I had to reboot it and it put all of my husbands information on it, there were also different older pictures that I haven't seen in a long time. I decided to download some of those on my computer. Then it was time to eat a late breakfast.
A little while later, I decided I needed to go up to the one and only Comcast office in the area, and take in my Power of Attorney, in order to get some of the charges of the movies taken off. There were sooooo..... many people there at the same time. The wait was 45 minutes, and my kids of course didn't want to behave. The lady was able to take off 3 4.99 movies, but I had to call in on the 14.99, because they don't take off "Adult" ones with out the supervisor. And since it is Saturday, she didn't have a supervisor. I ended up calling later and they did take it off, it was a UFC one, which Josh isn't here to watch those and I don't. So,that ended up being a total of 30 dollars off the bill for movies that I didn't rent in the first place.
Then I took the kids to CYS. Tonight was Mommy's turn to have 4 hours by myself. I don't remember the last time I had that amount of time, just to myself. After dropping the three off, I decided to go to Sonic, and get myself a chicken sandwich, fries, and a chocolate cream shake, since I saved all the money today, it was my treat to myself. Then I came home and watched "The Last Song", where I cried, and I laughed. It was a good movie. Today was a day of missing Josh even more then I already do, between the old pictures today bringing back memories, and then the movie tonight. I was just a little emotional. After the movie, I took a half hour nap, then I had to return to Fort for the kids.
Once we were home, it was bath time. Then we had Prayer time, and Elizabeth tore off the chain for when Josh is home on his "vacation home", I'm so excited that every day that goes by, the chain is getting shorter.
Now that I have completed my daily assignments for the week, and on of my "big assignments", it is time to head to bed, it is 1:12 and I'm getting very sleepy. Here's to starting a new day tomorrow!

A day with friends...
DAY 170~
Yesterday I had called the dentist to try and get a dentist appointment. I was able to get an appointment for today. So, I texted my friend to see if she could watch little man, she could. She asked me if they could go to Walmart, I said they could.
So, this morning after getting the older two kids on the bus, I came home got ready, and then headed to my friends house. We had another friend arrive at her house, and the two ladies, and Little man headed to Walmart, I headed to the Dentist.
I was a little bit late for the dentist because the freeway was at a stand still. There was not one, but three BAD accidents, all with in a half mile. Once I realized the freeway was not moving I had called the dentist office and let them know I would be late. I was stuck in the middle of no where with out an exit. I was a new patient today to. But, I finally made it in, and had my check up, with x-rays, and had the dentist look at my mouth. Finally it was time to head back to get little man.
When my friend had left to go to Walmart, she accidentally left her phone at the house, so I had to wait a bit before the got back. But when they arrived back, I found out they spoiled him. Our other friend bought him McDonald's, and then the friend that watched him bought him 5 shirts, pajamas, a water bottle and a bath toy. I was very appreciative of this, because it was very kind.
Once the other friend had left, my friend that watched him, little man, and I went to Sally's Beauty supply payless shoes, and Petco. Then we went back to our friends house. Little man and I then headed back to our house to get the other two off the bus. He had to carry his bag of goodies with us to the bus stop.
Then it was time to watch the kids Friday Night movie, and eat the pizza. Michael chose to watch Spider man tonight. When the movie was over, we had to go to Walmart to get training pants.
And we were finally off to our friends house again to hang out. Where we watched The Back Up Plan, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. My friend also made me a cake, just because. Well, yesterday after the gym, they were talking about cakes, and I was like that sounds good your making me hungry for cake, and so she made me one tonight. It turned out so good, and is very tasty. I watched her make some of the cake then left the room. When she said she was done, I walked back into the kitchen to see what it looked like, it had my name on it, I was shocked. I thought that was soooo.... sweet, I never had anyone make me a cake before, just because. I'm really appreciative of it.
The kids and I didn't make it home until just before midnight. No normal bedtime routine tonight because they crashed as soon as we hit the car. Now I'm very tired and need to fall asleep, it is 1:20 a.m. Time to start another day, and I'm not even in bed yet.
Oh yeah, I also got to talk to Josh on Facebook today, which is always nice knowing that he is okay, in between phone calls.

Johnathans Open house...
DAY 169~
After Johnathan got on the bus, and I took the other two kids to school, I went to the Gym. One of my work out partners brought the Zumba dvd, so I finally was able to try it. It has been a long time since I have had to coordinate my body with different dance moves, back when I was in high school, 9 years ago, on the dance team. It was a lot of fun though.
Then I came home and cleaned up the house. I was planning on doing more cleaning, until Johnathan wanted to be a Mommy's boy. I ended up falling asleep on the couch holding my little man. It was so sweet!
When the older two got off the bus, they were home early again, so I didn't have time to make it to the bus stop. I watched from my house. Not long after they were home it was dinner time, we had peanut butter and jelly since our burners on the stove were not working.
Tonight was Johnathan's open house at his preschool. When we got there they had us drop off ALL the kids in his classroom, even the older two. Then they had us go to a meeting in the gym. They gave us information and released us back to the classroom, where we got to be preschoolers. When I got back to the classroom Johnathan was playing, with what of all things, CARS, he loves those little cars. Then it was time for them to clean up.
The teacher then had story time, where my little man sat in his chair, and then they played an alphabet game, if you stop on the letter B, you get a piece of bubble gum. Even the older two were allowed to play and were give bubble gum, lovely! His teacher seems like she is a great teacher for him, and he should learn a lot this year.
Then we had to come home. We were FINALLY able to get a new stove. Now I can use my burners on the BRAND NEW stove. It has been since LAST FRIDAY, that I haven't been able to use it, and boy was that a pain. Then rental company replaced it with a nice one, black and silver (really not sure if it is stainless steel, it is and off brand). But it does look nice, compared to the white one. I can't wait to cook dinner on it tomorrow.
I was able to talk to Josh some on Facebook today, which helps feel in the communication gap when I'm not able to chat with him on the phone.

Even the older two were allowed to play and were give bubble gum, lovely! His teacher seems like she is a great teacher for him, and he should learn a lot this year.
Then we had to come home. We were FINALLY able to get a new stove. Now I can use my burners on the BRAND NEW stove. It has been since LAST FRIDAY, that I haven't been able to use it, and boy was that a pain. Then rental company replaced it with a nice one, black and silver (really not sure if it is stainless steel, it is and off brand). But it does look nice, compared to the white one. I can't wait to cook dinner on it tomorrow.
I was able to talk to Josh some on Facebook today, which helps feel in the communication gap when I'm not able to chat with him on the phone.
The kids all had their baths, were told a story, Prayed and tore of the chain for when Josh is on his "vacation home".. I have completed my homework and bills, and it is now 1:16 a.m, I have to get up at 7, so I'm very tired. Off to bed I go.

Were so Excited to say, (and doing the happy dance also) That we will see Josh this month....
DAY 168~
Josh will be home for his "vacation home" this month. We are extremely excited about that. Because of OPSEC, I cannot mention when that will be. But, if I see to stop blogging for a bit, that would be why. I want to spend as much time possible with him (or as much until he just gets sick of me) while he is home. We only have the two weeks, and then we have to wait another few months,when he will be home again. :(
Even though I'm welcoming September for the reasons stated above, because that is a huge reason. I'm still sad that we had to say goodbye to August, and Summer. I love Summer, it is my favorite time of year, and I'm sad I will have to wait again until next year!
Today, we didn't end up gong and working out. My work out partner had plans. I didn't feel like wasting gas to go work out by myself. So, I stayed home after getting the kids off on their buses.
When they left, I was actually able to sit by myself awhile, and enjoy my breakfast, which consisted of a granola bar, banana, and coffee. When I was done, I went to finish getting ready for the day, fixing my hair, and putting on make up. But, while I was eating, I had to fight not going and crawling back in bed. I was sleepy.
After getting ready for the day, I did two work outs of OnDemand, and Yoga, an ab one. It was about a total of 45 minutes of working out. Then it was time to change clothes, and wait for Johnathan's bus. At this point, I remembered it was the 1st and that I needed to go and pay our Rent. Which is a half hour trip out, and then back.
As soon as Johnathan was off the bus, we ate lunch, and then left. We had to go to Fort first, in order to get gas. Then made the trip to pay rent. The trip ended up being a total of 1 hour 45 minutes just to pay rent, because of construction.
Once we got back, I relaxed some, until the kids were off the bus. Finally tonight, someone came to look at my stove. The burners are still not working, even after they looked at it. The repair guy thinks we need a new one, and had to discuss it with the rental company. I really need my stove to cook, it is very important, and I haven't had it since last Friday. A total of 5 days. It is hard trying to figure out meals, with the food I have, that doesn't require my burners. I just hope they get it taken care of soon. So, tonight we had turkey hot dogs, in which I had to heat in the microwave, on a piece of bread, because I was planning on actually cooking diner on the burners, and had no buns. And we had chips.
I was so ready to get the kids in bed tonight after doing homework with Elizabeth, reading to them, Praying and tearing of the chain, for when Josh is coming home on vacation.
I have done my homework tonight, and talked to Josh a couple of minutes on Facebook, so I can sleep well tonight. Which I'm tired now, and forgot about the bills I need to do ack! Probably tomorrow, it was a busy day today, I don't want to mess up on those.
Btw, for those of you who read my blog yesterday, when I was worried if we were going to get the Combat pay, when they are not doing Combat anymore, here is an article on that. This is a good read also for those who's spouses are still deployed to Iraq.
